NMAT 2023 Exam Pattern: Marking Scheme, Duration, Maximum Marks

The NMAT 2023 exam pattern has been officially disclosed by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) through its official website. The NMAT exam comprises three distinct sections, namely Language Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Skills. Within these sections, candidates will have a total of 108 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each section containing 36 MCQs. Test-takers are granted a time limit of 2 hours to successfully address all 108 questions.

To enhance understanding, it is important to note that the NMAT 2023 exam enforces sectional time restrictions. Specifically, candidates have 28 minutes allocated for the Language Skills section, 40 minutes for the Logical Reasoning section, and 52 minutes for the Quantitative Skills section.

As per the NMAT marking scheme, candidates receive 1 mark for each correct response, and there is no provision for negative marking.

In recent years, the NMAT exam format has undergone some noteworthy adjustments. The total number of questions has been reduced from 120 to 108, and each of the three exam sections now contains 36 MCQs. Additionally, the time allocation for the Language Skills section has increased from 22 to 28 minutes, and for the Logical Reasoning section, it has been raised from 38 to 40 minutes. Conversely, the time allocated for the Quantitative Skills section has been reduced from 60 to 52 minutes.
