CTET Application Form 2026: Last Date to Register, Documents Required, Application Fees

CTET Application Form 2026 has been closed at the official website on December 18, 2025. Individuals interested in appearing for the CBSE CTET 2026 exam could register online at ctet.nic.in.

CTET Application Form 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education closed the application form for CTET exam online at ctet.nic.in. The upcoming CTET 2026 exam will be conducted on February 8, 2026. As per CBSE, a total of 25,30,436 candidates submitted their online applications. While in past two examinations of CTET conducted in July 2024 and December 2024, a total number of 20,25,554 and 16,72,748 candidates were registered, respectively.

CBSE released the CTET 2026 application form along with the notification on November 27, 2025. Before filling the application form, candidates should first check the CTET eligibility requirements. The last date for CTET Registration 2026 was December 18, 2025. 

The correction window for CTET application form will open soon after the registration is closed. Candidates who successfully register for the exam will be eligible to download their CTET 2026 admit card. The admit card will be released on the official website a few days before the examination. 

CTET Application Form 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education has started the application process for CBSE CTET 2026 exam at the official website. The direct link to apply for the CTET 2026 exam is also provided here. The last date to apply for the CBSE CTET 2026 is December 18, 2025. The 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held on February 8, 2026, in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. 

CTET Application Form 2026: Steps to Apply 

Candidates can follow these simple steps to complete their CTET application process online:

Step 1: Make the Registration for CTET Exam 2026

In order to fill out the CTET 2026 application form, candidates need to first register themselves. 

  • Go to the official website, ctet.nic.in 
  • On the homepage, candidates will find the link that reads 'CTET Application Form 2026' -- Click on that 
  • Now, candidates need to click on the apply button  under the New Candidate Registration link
  • Once clicked, candidates need to go through the information brochure and tap on the checkbox
  • After this, candidates need to click on the 'Proceed' button 

Once the candidate has completed the registration process, candidates need to fill in the details which are asked. Candidates can take a look at the following details which need to be filled in. 

  • Candidates name 
  • Candidate's parent's name 
  • DOB
  • ID number 
  • ID type 
  • Gender 
  • Email ID 
  • Candidate's address 
  • Password 
  • Security questions, answer, and pin
  • Candidate's mobile number

Step 2: Fill the CTET Application Form 2026 Online 

Now, candidates need to fill in the rest of the details that are asked in the application form. However, candidates must note that the information they are providing should be similar to the information they have provided in their class 10 certificate. 

Step 3: Uploading the Documents 

Once the candidate has filled out the application form, he or she has uploaded the necessary documents which include their photo and signature.

The image dimension of the photo should be 3.5 x 4.5, whereas the dimension of the signature should be 3.5 x 1.5. On the other hand, the size of the photo should be 10-200 kb, and for the signature the size should be 4-30 kb. 

Step 4: Paying the Application Fees 

Once the candidate has filled the application form and uploaded the documents, then he or she has to pay the application fees. Now, candidates must note that the application fees for different categories vary. Hence, candidates should pay the application fee for the category they belong to. Also, since the examination has two papers, the fees for both exam is different in nature. 

Candidates can pay the application fees by e-challan in Canara Bank/ Syndicate Bank or even through debit, credit card, and net banking. Candidates can take a look at the following application fees for the CTET 2026 examination.

NOTE: Candidate must note that if candidates from general and OBC categories wish to appear for both the exam, then they have to pay a fee of INR 1200, whereas candidates belonging to SC, ST and Differently Abled Person have to pay INR 600 if they wish to attempt both CTET paper 1 and 2.

CTET Application 2026: Correction Window

Once the candidate has filled their CTET application form, they will be provided with a time frame where they can make changes to their application form if required. The time frame is called the 'Application Correction Window', where if a candidate has made any error while filling the application form, they can make changes.

After the registration process is completed, the application correction window will be available for about a week. However, candidates must note that there are only limited details wherein candidates can make changes including :
