CTET Exam Pattern 2024
The CTET exam contains two papers and both papers in total contain 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded with 1 mark. Candidates should also note that there is no negative marking for any wrong or unattempted answers in both CTET Paper I and Paper II.

Key Points for CTET Exam Pattern 2024
- The CBSE has decided to make the CTET exam 2024 tougher in order to assess the conceptual understanding and critical thinking of teachers
- To qualify for the CTET exam 2024, candidates should have good knowledge of the CTET syllabus and the marking scheme of both CTET paper 1 and paper 2.
- Paper 1 of the CTET consists of 5 subjects and has a total of 150 questions which carries one mark each.
- On the other hand, CTET paper 2 also has 5 subjects. However, paper 2 has a choice between science & maths, and social science. The question paper will consist of 150 questions, and every correct answer will get one mark.

CTET exam pattern for CTET paper II consists of 150 objective-type questions for 150 marks. Same to CTET paper I, CTET paper II will also be conducted online mode. CTET Marking Scheme 2024
Along with the CTET exam pattern, candidates should also have a better understanding of the CTET marking scheme to get good CTET results 2024. The marks for the CTET exam are distributed for correct and wrong answers.
- As per the CTET Exam pattern, paper 1 consists of 5 subjects with 150 questions of one mark each.
- Paper 2 has five subjects total and offers the options of social science and science & maths. There will be 150 questions, with one mark awarded for each accurate response.
