CTET Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will tentatively release the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Result 2026 for the September session by the end of October 2026, as per the official notification. The CTET 2026 exam will be conducted on September 6, 2026. The examination authority will release the CTET result 2026 on the official portal: ctet.nic.in, in PDF format. Candidates who will appear for the examination will be able to check their result once released by using their login credentials such as roll number and application number. 

CTET 2026 scorecard will carry information including the name of the candidate, roll number, subject name, marks obtained, and other important details. Candidates who appear for the CTET exam can also get their scorecards using the UMANG Application and DigiLocker application. CBSE releases the CTET results for both Paper I and II together. Before releasing the result, the board will release the CTET provisional answer key through which students can calculate their estimated scores. However, candidates must note that the CTET answer key is not the CTET result. Candidates can access their results from DigiLocker by using the mobile number provided by them in their online CTET application form. CTET Result 2026: Steps to check

The CTET 2026 Result for the September session will be tentatively released by the end of October 2026. Provided below are some steps through which candidates can check their results once declared. 

Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website of the CTET: ctet.nic.in. 

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads 'CTET 2026 result'.

Step 3: Now, candidates need to enter their roll number and application number.

Step 4: Click on the 'Submit' button.

Step 5: The CTET result will be displayed on the screen.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also releases the CTET scorecard of the candidates who qualify for the exam. CTET Result 2026: Provisional Answer Key 

Before the declaration of results, the exam board will release the answer key on its official website. There are two types of answer keys released on the website. While the first one is the provisional answer key, the other one is the final answer key. Both answer keys are released on the official website in PDF form. 

CTET Provisional Answer Key

The CTET provisional answer key is a tentative answer key that is made public shortly after the test is over by CBSE. It is made available to the applicants so they may compute their estimated score and object if they see any errors. It comprises the right answers to every question that was given on the test.

Applicants have a brief window of time—usually a few days—in which they can contest the provisional answer key by submitting their complaints and accompanying documentation. The organisation in charge of administering the exam then examines the concerns raised and, where appropriate, modifies the answer key.

CTET Result 2026: Qualifying Marks

Aspirants appearing for the CTET exam are required to score a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate marks to qualify for the teacher's eligibility test. Candidates who belong to the general category are required to score 60 per cent marks, whereas candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories are required to score 55 per cent to qualify for the CTET exam.

CTET Result 2026: Certification Validity

After the CBSE releases the results, candidates will get the CTET certificate. The CTET certificate is available only to those candidates who have successfully qualified for the CTET exam. Earlier, the validity of the CTET certificate was seven years. However, now the CTET certificate is valid for the lifetime of a candidate. 

Candidates can download their CTET certificate from their DigiLocker account. In order to download the CTET certificate from the DigiLocker account, candidates need to log into their account.

Candidates must know that qualifying for the CTET exam does not confer a job on them in any of the government or private sector schools. CTET is just a qualifying exam and basic eligibility that is required by the schools to hire a teaching professional.
