BSSC Results 2023: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) releases the BSSC results on its official website. Further, the exam conducting body has released the BSSC CGL Mains results on the official website. Candidates can visit the official portal and download their results. The results will be released in the PDF form and candidates can check and download the document from the what's new section.  Since the BSSC result is an essential document it consists of the roll number of the candidate, personal information and other similar details.

Further, before releasing the results, the BSSC releases the answer key for the specific post. There are two types of answer keys. While the first one is a provisional answer key which allows candidates to raise objections, the final answer key helps the candidate to calculate their score. After the results are released, the exam conducting body will release the BSSC cut-off on its official website.

The BSSC cut-off is the minimum marks set by the exam conducting body which students are required to score in order to qualify for the examination. Candidates must note that the cut-off is different for people belonging to different categories. Hence, candidates should only refer to those cut-offs to the category they belong to. If a candidate is unable to score as much of the cut-off then, he or she will not be considered to qualify for the examination.

BSSC Results

BSSC declares the results on the official website in PDF format and candidates can check the document by logging in. The results for the BSSC examination determine whether the candidate has qualified the examination or not. The BSSC results refer to the list of candidates who have qualified for the examination. Since there are three stages of the BSSC examination, the results for each stage are released separately. The candidates who will qualify for the BSSC prelims will be further eligible to appear for the mains stage and those candidates who will qualify for both prelims and mains will be then eligible to appear for the interview round.

Once the interview round is completed, marks of the candidate's mains and interview rounds will club together and through that a final merit list will be prepared. Candidates can verify their BSSC test results by entering their roll number or registration number on the official website. Usually, the BSSC results are declared a few weeks or months following the exam.

Details Mentioned on the BSSC Results

Since the BSSC result is an essential document it consists of some important details of the candidate which they are required to check. Aspirants can take a look at the following details provided on the results.

  • Cut-Off marks scored
  • Candidate's personal information
  • Marks obtained by the candidate

BSSC Answer Keys

Before the declaration of results, the BSSC releases two types of answer keys. While the first one is the provisional answer key, the other one is the final answer key. This should be noted that the answer key, results and cut-off is released differently for different posts. Hence, candidates should check those results, answer keys and the cut-off for the post for which they have applied.

Provisional Answer Key

The provisional answer key enables the candidates to raise objections in cases where they believe the correct response could differ from what the exam conducting body has provided.  However, candidates have to provide solid evidence against the objection they are raising.  The authorities will analyse the concerns once they are raised. The provisional answer key is made available before the declaration of results. Candidates will be given a time period during which they can file objections. This time period is called the ‘objection raising window’.

Final Answer Key

Ahead of the BSSC result declaration, the final answer key will be released by the BSSC. The exam conducting body will prepare the final answer key after analysing the objections raised by the candidates.  Applicants must be aware that the final answer key is only a means of determining their score; it does not represent the results.  On the official website, a PDF version of the provisional and final answer keys is made available.

Steps to  Calculate Marks for the BSSC CGL Exams

Once the written exam is conducted, candidates can calculate the score with the help of the answer key released by the exam conducting body. Candidates can easily check the answer key on the official website of the BSSC.

In order to calculate scores, aspirants must know that each right answer in the question paper carries 4 marks and for each wrong question one mark will be deducted. Which means that the exam has negative markings. Through this, candidates can easily check and calculate their scores in the BSSC examination.

BSSC Cut Off

The BSSC cut-offs will be made available by the State authorities together with the release of the BSSC graduate-level results. The names of those who get a score higher than the required minimum will appear on the merit list. Candidates can take a look at the previous year's cut-off to have a better idea for the upcoming year.
