JKSSB Exam 2024:  JKSSB, also known as the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) is the board which conducts examinations for various posts offered under the administration of the Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir. The board offers posts such as  District / Divisional / UT Cadre posts, labour inspector, assistant law officer, junior librarian, election assistant and others. 

Candidates who are intending to appear for the examination should first look for the JKSSB eligibility criteria laid out by the exam conducting body. Latest Updates:

• JKSSB admit card for Sub Inspector exam was released on March 4, 2024. The sub inspector exam is going to be held on March 10, 2024.
• The JKSSB Asnwer Key for the written examination held for Deputy Inspector/Equivalent in the Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries department was released on March 4, 2024. 
• The examination was held on March 3, 2024. 

Aspirants who will successfully submit the application form will then be eligible to get the JKSSB admit card. The hall ticket is an important document and consists of information about the candidate. Aspirants are required to bring the admit card to the exam centre, or else they will not be allowed to sit in the examination. The JKSSB exam takes place in the Union territory, and candidates have to appear at the designated exam centre.

Once the JKSSB exam has been conducted, the exam conducting body will release the answer key for the examination. The JKSSB will release two types of answer keys -- provisional answer key and final answer key. While the provisional answer key will allow the candidates to raise objections to questions given in the examination, the final answer key will help the candidates to calculate the score. 

After the release of the final answer key, the board will release the JKSSB results.  The results will be released on the official website in PDF form. The exam conducting body will also release the cut-off on the official website. 

JKSSB Admit Card 2024

JKSSB admit card for accounts assistant has been released on the official website of the JKSSB. Candidates can download the hall ticket by logging in the official website.  

Candidates must know that the hall ticket is an essential document and it is required for aspirants to bring the document to the exam centre. If in case a candidate forgets to bring their admit card, then he or she will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall.

Step 2: On the webpage, students should look for the link that says "admit card/hall ticket for Computer based test" in the lower left corner 

Step 3: Now, applicants must submit details including their application number, password, DOB, and the captcha code.

Step 4: Now, applicants should click the login button.

Step 5: A screen will show the JKSSB admit card.

JKSSB Application Process 

The JKSSB application form is released by the JKSSB on its official website. The application mode is online and candidates can fill the application form by visiting the official website of the JKSSB. The application process for the examination is a lengthy process as there are several steps which need to be completed. Steps such as filling out the form, uploading documents and submitting the fees are some of the steps which candidates need to follow. 

Steps to Fill JKSSB Application Form 

Step 1: Visit the company's website.

Step 2: Students can register online for the relevant recruiting on the webpage.

Step 3: Candidates have to click on signup section in order to register on the website

Step 4: After registering, applicants must enter their first, middle, and last names exactly as per their certificate.

Step 5: Now, applicants must enter both their email addresses and phone numbers. Once done, click on the register

Step 6: Candidates will then get an OTP on the provided email address or phone number.

Step 7: Enter the OTP, and candidates can register and create a password 

Step 8: After registering on the site, candidates must log in with their credentials and complete the required fields.

Step 9: Also, applicants should use caution when filling out the information since it will be used for any future job applications.

Step 10: When creating their profiles, applicants must now upload a current photo, their signature, and a thumbprint.

Step 11: When the profile is created, applicants can log in with the provided information.

Step 12: Now, candidates need to click on apply

Step 13: After selecting the apply button, the system will review the applicant's profile and determine whether they qualify for the position.

Step 14: Qualified applicants must complete the application by providing the necessary information. After finishing, click "submit."

Step 15: After finishing the application procedure, applicants must pay the application costs.

Step 16: After paying the application costs, candidates can print out their application and maintain a printed copy for their records.

JKSSB Application Fees 

Applicants who have completed the application procedure successfully are required to submit the application fee. Candidates must be aware that the application fees vary depending on the category they fall under. The following application fees are listed below for candidates to review:

For posts requiring a two-stage examination, applicants must pay Rs 550; however, applicants who fall under the SC, ST, PWD, or EWS categories must only pay Rs 450.

The application cost for positions requiring a single-stage test is 550 rupees. The application fee is 400 rupees for applicants in the SC, ST, PWD, and EWS categories.

JKSSB Syllabus 

Candidates appearing for the JKSSB exam are advised to check the JKSSB syllabus. The syllabus is released on the official website in PDF form. The syllabus for the exam is divided into different annexures. The JKSSB syllabus varies for different posts. The syllabus consists of several topics such as general English, statistics, mathematics,  general knowledge,  general intelligence and reasoning and others. 

JKSSB Exam Pattern 

JKSSB exam pattern is laid out by the JKSSB. The main aim of the JKSSB exam pattern is to shed light on whether the exam has negative marking, the duration of the exam and other information related to the question paper. The JKSSB exam pattern, syllabus as well as marking scheme is given in PDF format in the official notification. Before preparing for the examination, candidates are advised to check the exam pattern and syllabus.  

• To be eligible for the recruitment selection process, candidates must clear two major steps which are a written exam and document verification. Candidates can take a look at the important points about the JKSSB exam : 
• The recruitment examination will be conducted in English mode
• The duration of the JKSSB exam is 2 hours.
• The exam consists of negative marking which means that 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. 
• Aspirants appearing for the exam should know that the paper will be held in an OMR sheet and questions will be asked in MCQ format. 
• The exam consists of 100 marks and each question is of 1 mark, which makes the total number of marks in the exam 100 marks. 

JKSSB Results 

Once the JKSSB exam has been conducted the exam conducting body will release the JKSSB results. The JKSSB results will be released on the official website and candidates can check the results by logging on to the portal. The JKSSB results make the candidate eligible to get recruited for the post they have applied for. Since the result is an essential document it consists of the aspirant's name, the candidate's roll number, the category of the candidate and the sub-category too. 

Before the declaration of the result, the JKSSB will release the answer key. There are two types of answer keys: Provisional and Final answer keys. While the provisional answer key will help the candidate to raise objections to the question in which they think that the answer could be something else. However, candidates have to provide supporting evidence for their objections.

After the objection has been raised, the candidates will analyse the objection and then release the final answer key. The final answer key will help the candidate to calculate the score.
