Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIM Sirmaur): IIM Sirmaur (Indian Institute of Management) is a public business school located in the beautiful city of Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. IIM Sirmaur was established in 2015 as an institute of national importance, a comparatively newer institute to the family of IIMs. IIM Sirmaur has been ranked 57th among the top management institutes in India as given by NIRF 2024. 

IIM Sirmaur offers a myriad of courses in the discipline of Management and Business, MBA (Master of Business Administration) is the flagship course. It offers PhD, MDP as well as LDP programs under Executive Education. IIM Sirmaur considers CAT scores for evaluating candidates along with a graduation degree with a minimum 50 percent aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA (45 percent for SC, ST, and PWD/DA categories) for its flagship MBA programs. IIM Sirmaur MBA course fee is INR 16 lakh. 

IIM Sirmaur summer placement 2024 witnessed highest stipend of INR 2,00,000 for MBA programme and INR 1,40,000 for MBA-TM respectively. More than 150 companies participated out of which 110+ companies provided final placement offers to the students enrolled across diverse management programmes. The institution also witnessed rise in the mean stipend by 39.31%, along with 208% rise in the PPOs received this year. The mean stipend offered stood at INR 71,000. IIM Sirmaur offers its flagship program of MBA (Master of Business Administration) and MBA Tourism. The institute also offers Executive PhD, PhD (AICTE-QIP), MDP, and LDP programs under executive education. IIM Sirmaur has also launched an executive MBA in Digital Transformation and Analytics.

IIM Sirmaur MBA Admission 2024

MBA- The MBA program is a two-year, full-time residential course. The first year covers core courses explaining fundamental management concepts, followed by a mandatory summer internship. In the second year, students can select elective courses in various functional areas based on their preferences. 

Eligibility Criteria:

• The basic IIM eligibility criteria is graduation with a minimum 50 percent aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA (45 percent for SC, ST, and PWD/DA categories) 
• CAT scores, academic performance, work experience, and diversity criteria determine the selection process.
• The process is conducted in two phases: eligibility for a personal interview (PI) and preparing the final merit list.
• Written Ability Test (WAT) is not conducted.
• The interview evaluates academic backgrounds, work experience, and professional fit.
• Uniform criteria are used for applicants within specific categories, meeting reservation requirements according to Government of India norms.

Selection Procedure:

• Candidates need to secure a predetermined minimum cut-off score in all sections of CAT 2024.
• Emphasis is on attracting students with high quantitative, managerial, and people skills along with corporate experiences.
• Work experience is considered, but it should be professionally significant and exclude internships, unpaid work, or tuition/teaching experiences.
• Authenticity of claimed work experience is verified through documentation provided by the candidate's employers.
• Eligibility under supernumerary seats for female students and international students is conducted separately with specified criteria.
• IIMS follows the reservation policy as per Government of India norms.

IIM Sirmaur MBA Tourism Admission

The MBA Tourism program at IIM Sirmaur spans two years with each academic year comprising three trimesters. The first year is dedicated to mandatory core courses covering fundamental management concepts, followed by a six to eight-week summer internship focusing on tourism-related projects. In the second year, students have the flexibility to choose from a range of core and functional elective courses that specialize in various aspects of the tourism sector. The curriculum blends lectures, case studies, online resources, fieldwork, projects, and lab sessions, offering a holistic education in entrepreneurship, special interest tourism, tourism planning, analytics, and contemporary hotel and travel management. 

Eligibility Criteria:

• A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH candidates) in the 10+2+3 pattern, or a B.Tech degree.
• Applicants should have a valid CAT score or GMAT score from the last five years, or they can choose to take the IIM Sirmaur Admission Test, conducted on a specified date.
• Shortlisting for further rounds, such as Personal Interview/Interaction, will be based on valid CAT/GMAT/IIM Sirmaur Test scores.
• Test centers for the IIM Sirmaur Test include Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Paonta Sahib, H.P. The Institute reserves the right to modify these test centers.
• Final selection and merit list announcements will be determined based on a composite score, considering weightage from valid CAT/GMAT scores, PI scores, academic profile, work experience, and gender diversity.

The Placement season of 2024 at IIM Sirmaur for MBA achieved 100% placement. With over 125 companies visiting the campus, the highest package closed at 64 LPA. The sectors in which placement was offered are BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, E-Commerce/ Retail, Infrastructure & Real Estate, Logistics & Supply chain, Telecom & Media, Manufacturing, EdTech, and others. The top recruiters were Deloitte, Reliance, EY, HCL, ICICI Bank, Hero, Airtel, and PWC.

The Placement season of 2023 at IIM Sirmaur for MBA tourism placed 45 students out of 50 participating for the recruitment. The highest package closed at 34 LPA, while the average CTC came out to be 11.82 LPA. Companies from different sectors such as Tourism, Logistics, EdTech, IT, Banking & Finance, Hospitality, Consulting and others visited the campus. The profiles offered were HR, Analyst, Finance,  IT & Systems, Product Management, Operations, General Management, and Sales & Marketing. The top recruiters were Indigo, Max Life, Thomas Cook, Infosys, Lenevo, Air India, Fullerton India, and Axis Bank.
