SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST Chennai): SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), formerly known as SRM University, is a large, top-ranked university in India with over 52,000 students and 3,200 faculty members. The majority of programmes at SRM Institute of Science and Technology require students to take a national-level entrance exam, but there are a few exceptions where students can apply directly.

SRMIST B.Tech Admission 2024

• To be eligible for the B.Tech programme at SRM University, you must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 examination in the current academic year with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects; candidate must also have studied one of the following subjects as a major subject: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, or Engineering Graphics from a recognised state board within India
• Admission to the B.Tech programme is through the SRMJEE (UG) entrance examination
• The admission will be subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well

SRMIST M.Tech Admission 2024

• To be eligible for the M.Tech programme, candidates must have a Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 50%
  
  
• Admission to the M.Tech programmes is through the SRMJEE (PG) entrance examination

• The admission will be subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well

SRMIST MBA Admission 2024

• To be eligible for the MBA program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 60%
• Candidate must have also appeared for any one of the nationally recognized entrance exams, such as CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, NMAT, or CMAT, or the state-level TANCET or SRM Joint Entrance Exam (SRMJEE-M)
• Preference is given to candidates with 1-3 years of work experience
• A minimum of 50% in the sectional cut-off (such as English language, quantitative techniques, and logical reasoning) is desirable for all entrance exams
• In the absence of the above-mentioned test scores, scores of other state common entrance tests may also be considered, subject to the attainment of at least 60% marks in the test
• The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the entrance exam, work experience, and personal interview (PI). The PI round is designed to assess the candidate's personality traits, qualities, and soft skills, which are critical for becoming an effective manager

SRMIST Ph.D Admission 2024

• To be eligible for the Ph.D programme, candidates must possess a master's degree or a professional degree equivalent to a master's degree from a recognized university, with at least a 55% average or a B grade
• To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme in the same institution, candidates must have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least a 55% aggregate grade or a B grade on the UGC 7-point scale
• A 5% grade relaxation is available for candidates from SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled groups

There shall be three categories of Ph.D. candidates: 

• Full-time candidates are those who will be doing full-time research at SRMIST. They will be enrolled in the PhD programme and will be taking classes and conducting research full-time.
• Part-time (internal) candidates are those who are employed by SRMIST and are doing part-time research at the university. They will be taking classes and conducting research on a part-time basis, while continuing to work full-time at SRMIST.
• Part-time (external) candidates are those who are working in industry, colleges, government departments, research organisations, or other institutions. They are sponsored by their respective organisations to pursue a PhD programme at SRMIST, while continuing to work full-time in their respective organisations
