The Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) is scheduled to release the SSC GD application form 2024 on November 24, 2024. The notification has been made available on the official SSC website, www.ssc.nic.in. The purpose of this notification is to initiate the recruitment process for over 75,768 Constable vacancies. The SSC GD 2024 Exam will be conducted to identify and select qualified individuals for the position of Constable in various paramilitary forces and law enforcement agencies, including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA, and also for the role of riflemen in Assam Rifles(AR). The exam is highly competitive in nature. In 2020-21, a total of 71,74,579 candidates appeared for the SSC GD exam 2024.
SSC GD Constable 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the recruitment examination for the Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2022. The SSC GD constable 2023-24 recruitment examination will be conducted in multiple stages. In the first stage, candidates will have to appear for the Multiple Choice Questions type, Computer-based Examination (CBE). The GD Constable CBE is conducted by the SSC. The shortlisted candidates in the CBE will appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and then the Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates qualifying the PET/PST will have to appear for the Detailed Medical Exam (DME) and subsequently the Document Verification. The PET/PST, DME/RME and document verification will be conducted by the CRPFs in their designated centres.

SSC GD Application Process 2024:
Candidates aspiring to appear for the SSC GD examination 2023-24 need to visit the official website of SSC to apply for the Constable GD Examination. The SSC GD application fee for the Unreserved Category candidates is Rs. 100. While the Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fees.
SSC Constable GD Vacancies 2024:
SSC has released the tentative SSC GD vacancy 2024 initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). This year SSC will conduct the recruitment for a total of 75, 768 vacancies in CAPFs/organizations.
According to the SSC GD Notification 2023, candidates have to give preference for the following CAPFs/ Organizations, in the order of priority, in the online Application Form. Applicants are required to fill in all the options in order of their choice of preferences:

SSC GD Constable Salary 2024:
The SSC GD Constable salary for or the post of Sepoy in NCB is in the Pay Level–1 and ranges between Rs.18,000 to 56,900. Meanwhile, all others posts are eligible for Pay Level-3 and range between Rs. 21,700-69,100. Candidates selected for the GD Constable post will also be eligible for several benefits and allowances under the 7th pay commission.
SSC GD Eligibility 2024:
SSC GD Constable Eligibility 2024 for all the parameters prescribed by SSC in Constable (Ground Duty) notification. The eligibility criteria is based on nationality, educational qualification, and physical tests. Candidates applying for the SSC GD Constable must possess a minimum qualification of 10th standard. Apart from this candidates with 12th, UG and PG degrees from a recognized institution are also eligible to apply for the SSC GD recruitment process provided that they meet the age limit for application.
SSC GD Exam Pattern 2024
The SSC GD Constable exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The SSC GD selection process is conducted in multiple stages. Stage 1 of the SSC GD exam consists of a Computer based examination which is conducted by the SSC. Candidates shortlisted through the CBE will have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Physical Standard Test (PET) and the Detailed Medical Examination and simultaneously the Document Verification.
This year SSC has made several changes in the Constable (GD) Computer based examination. The revision in the SSC GD Examination are mentioned below:
- Each question has been assigned two marks instead of one.
- There has been an increase in the maximum score from 100 to 160
- The number of questions has been reduced from 100 to 80.
- Negative marks have been increased from 0.25 to 0.50 for incorrect answers.
- The duration of the examination has been reduced from 90 minutes to 60 minutes.
SSC GD Constable Syllabus 2024
Candidates applying for the SSC GD examination will have to qualify the SSC GD Constable written exam to appear in the subsequent stages of the selection process. To qualify the CBE it is important that candidates have a full understanding of the SSC GD Constable New Syllabus prescribed in the SSC GD official notification. Once the comprehensive analysis of the syllabus is complete, candidates should start the preparation in accordance with the revised GD syllabus.
SSC GD Admit Card 2024
The Staff Selection Commission will soon release the SSC GD PET/PST admit card on the official website. Eligible candidates can download their admit card using their login credentials. Meanwhile, candidates can download the SSC GD Admit Card using the simple steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official regional website of SSC.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads – Download SSC Constable GD admit card.
Step 3: Submit the allotted credentials like registration number and date of birth to log in.
Step 4: The SSC GD admit card will be available on the screen.
Step 5: Thoroughly verify if all the details mentioned in the admit card are correct.

SSC GD Results 2024
According to the official notification, the Commission announced the SSC GD Results 2024 along with force allocation based on how well candidates performed in the computer-based examination and the preference of force they selected, subject to their passing the physical standard test, the physical efficiency test, the medical examination, and other requirements outlined in the exam notification.
SSC will be in charge of creating the merit list and producing the final results, while the CAPFs will take care of additional tasks like the exam's structure, vacancies, how PET/PST/DME/RME will be conducted, and document verification, etc.
SSC GD Constable Cutoff 2024
The SSC GD Cut off score will be released along with the declaration of results based on which candidates will be called for the next round of the recruitment process. The SSC GD Constable Cutoff 2024 will be released after the normalization of the score.
The SSC GD cutoff score for Unreserved, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM will be made separately for male and female candidates in respect of each State/ UT and further earmarked area of Border Guarding and Militancy/ Naxal affected Districts wherever applicable. Selection of the candidates for SSF and NCB will be made on an All-India basis.
