SSC CGL 2024: Dates, Notification, Pattern, Syllabus, Result, Cut off

SSC CGL 2024 exam:  The dates for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam have been released by the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.nic.in. As per the SSC calendar 2024, the registration for the SSC CGL exam will start on June 11, 2024, and will continue till July 10, 2024. The SSC CGL exam 2024 is tentatively scheduled for September-October 2024.

Candidates who are interested in appearing for the Combined Graduate Level exam should first check the SSC CGL eligibility 2024. The SSC CGL eligibility is released by the Staff Selection Commission and it is notified in the official notification. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts a Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) for filling various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations of the Government of India.

SSC CGL Exam 2024

As stated above, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the CGL exam in order to fill various posts under Group B and Group C in different government ministries and departments. Some of the posts offered by SSC CGL are Income Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, Central Excise Inspector, Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Account Officer, Junior Statistical Officer, and many others.

• SSC CGL 2024 exam date has not been announced yet by the Staff Selection Commission.
• SSC CGL registration date 2024 is June 11 to July 10, 2024.
• Eligible candidates can register for the Combined Graduate Level exam at ssc.nic.in.
• SSC CGL Vacancy 2024 will be released along with the notification.
• SSC CGL salary for Group B posts would be between Rs. 35,400 and Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• SSC CGL salary for Group C posts would be between Rs. 25,500 and Rs. 81,100 per month.

SSC CGL Registration 2024

SSC CGL application form 2024 will be released tentatively on June 11, 2024. The last date to apply for SSC CGL 2024 is July 10, 2024. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register for the exam at ssc.nic.in. Applicants who are registering for the exam first time have to fill out the complete application form. Already registered candidates will see that their application form will be already half filled. However, they have to pay the registration fee of INR 100 to successfully complete the application process.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates aspiring to appear for the SSC CGL 2024 are required to fulfil eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Commission. Candidates can check below the SSC CGL eligibility criteria. 

• Nationality: Candidates applying for the SSC CGL 2024 must be citizens of India. Along with this, the candidates who are a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 are also eligible to apply for the exam. 
• Age Limit: The maximum and minimum age limit to fill SSC CGL 2024 application form is 18 to 32 years as on January 01, 2023. However, age relaxation has been provided to reserved category candidates. 
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or institution. However, candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply provided they possess essential qualifications on or before the cut-off date i.e. 08th October 2022. 

SSC CGL Exam Pattern

SSC CGL Exam is conducted in 2 tiers – Tier-1, and Tier 2. Candidates have to qualify for each tier to become eligible for appearing in the subsequent phases of the examination. SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 

• SSC will conduct Tier 1 in Computer Based mode. 
• The exam has 4 subjects including General Intelligence Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. 
• The Tier 1 examination is conducted for a duration of 1 hour where the students will have to answer 100 questions of 2 marks each. 
• For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted from the score

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

• SSC has revised the Examination pattern for Tier 2 in 2022.
• As per the SSC CGL new examination pattern, the Tier 2 examination is conducted for 4 papers. 
• Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.  
• The duration for paper 1 is 150 Minutes and 120 Minutes each for Paper 2 and 3

SSC CGL Syllabus 2024

SSC CGL syllabus covers a broad range of topics from almost all subjects. SSC CGL Vacancy

This year, SSC is planning to conduct recruitment for over 7,500 posts available in various ministries and departments of the Government of India. However, the exact number of SSC CGL vacancies will be announced in due course of recruitment by the examination authority.

SSC CGL Salary 2024

The candidates qualifying the SSC CGL examination are recruited in Group B and Group C. The SSC CGL salary for candidates qualifying for Group B gazetted post is based on Pay Level-8 and the salary range for this pay is between Rs. 47600 to 1,51,100.

Meanwhile, candidates qualifying SSC CGL exams for the group B & C posts are salaried in 4 different pay levels, starting from level 4 and going till level 7. The salary range for this group is between 25,500 to 1,51,100.

SSC CGL Admit Card 2024

After the completion of the application process, SSC will release the admit card for the Tier 1 examination in due course, The SSC CGL admit card is generally released 10 days before the examination. Candidates who have successfully applied for the SSC CGL Examination will have to download the admit card from the regional SSC website. The SSC CGL Hall Ticket will have information regarding the examination centre, the timing of the examination, and application details.

SSC CGL Answer Key 2024

Once the Examination is conducted, the commission releases a provisional answer key and response sheet. Candidates can also challenge the provisional answer key by submitting a fee of Rs 100/ Question. Once the Challenge widow closes, SSC will release the final answer key, and then the results for the examination will be declared.

SSC CGL Results 2024

SSC CGL selection process is conducted in multiple stages. The exam conducting body has released the SSC Results for the final stage 2022 on the official website. SSC CGL Cut Off 2024

The Candidate appearing for the SSC CGL recruitment process will have to go through multiple stages of selection process. The final appointment will be allotted to those candidates who have successfully completed all the stages of the selection process. Every year, over 30 lakh candidates registered for the examination, and around 15 lakhs students appeared in the SSC CGL examination.
