SSC MTS Eligibility 2024: The Staff Selection Commission has prescribed the detailed SSC MTS Eligibility in the official MTS notification. Note that only the eligible applicants meeting the SSC MTS Age Limit, SSC MTS Qualification and Nationality could complete the registration process. If these parameters are not met, candidates will stand disqualified from taking the exam.

SSC has also provided various relaxation under the category and physical disabilities of the candidates. Candidates fulfilling the SSC MTS eligibility criteria for relaxation will be able to avail of the benefits earmarked for them. SSC Conducts the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) examination for recruitment of eligible candidates in Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ Non-Gazetted posts. 

SSC MTS Eligibility 2024

The Government of India hires Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff for positions in a variety of Ministries, Departments, and Offices in various States and Union Territories. Whereas, the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance's Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) will be hiring applicants for the Havaldar position.

SSC MTS Age Limit 2024

The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

  • 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1999 and not later than 01-08-2006) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).
  • 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1997 and not later than 01-08-2006) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS.

To verify whether a candidate meets the SSC MTS Age Limit, the commission will only accept the date of birth (DOB) recorded on their matriculation/secondary examination certificate or an equivalent certificate available at the time of application submission.

SSC MTS Nationality 2024

Candidates applying for any post under the SSC Multi Tasking Staff should be citizens of India. In addition to Indian residents, applicants from nearby nations like Nepal and Bhutan may also apply. As per the SSC MTS official notification, applicants  of SSC MTS and Havaldar must be citizens of the below-mentioned nations to be eligible for recruitment:  

(a) Citizen of India

(b) Subject of Nepal

(c) Subject of Bhutan

(d) A Tibetan refugee who entered India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle there permanently

(e) A person of Indian origin who has moved to India intending to stay there permanently from countries: Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.
