Several Allowances and Benefits are given to the candidates selected for the position of General Duty Constable in various armed police forces. In addition to the base pay, selected candidates will also get the benefits of several allowances under the 7th pay commission. These allowances and perks are compensated in order to cover various costs and safeguard themselves from the rising cost of living. SSC GD Constable 2023-24: Exam Pattern

Staff Selection Commission and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) conduct the SSC GD Constable exam. There are four stages in the SSC GD selection process. In Phase 1, the SSC conducts a computer-based test. Candidates shortlisted through the CBE will have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Physical Standard Test (PET) and the Detailed Medical Examination and Document verification conducted by CAPFs.
