SSC CHSL 2024: Notification, Application Dates, Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Vacancies

SSC CHSL 2024:  The Staff Selection Commission will open the correction window for SSC CHSL application on May 10, 2024. The deadline for correction in particulars is May 11, 2024. Candidates can make changes (if any) by visiting the official website of SSC.

The Commission has also released the SSC CHSL 2024 exam calendar. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam 2024 is set to be conducted from July 1 to July 12, 2024. The Commission released the recruitment notification for 3712 vacancies for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO), Data Entry Operator, Grade 'A' posts. Candidates are advised to visit the official website to check the exam dates and download the exam calendar.

Latest Updates:

• The window for corrections in SSC CHSL application will be open from May 10 to May 11, 2024 (till 23:00).
• As per the revised SSC calendar, SSC CHSL exam 2024 paper 1 is going to be held on July 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

SSC CHSL 2024: Latest Updates

The SSC revised exam calendar was released on April 8, 2024. The calendar includes exam dates for various SSC papers. The dates are revised due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Candidates can check the official exam calendar provided below:

The Commission has not issued the official SSC CHSL notification yet. However, it has released a press notice regarding the new SSC website. As per the notice, the official notification and application form for CHSL examination will be released on the new website - ssc.gov.in. Candidates who wish to apply for the same will have to register by generating a One Time Registration (OTR) on the new website, as the old OTR will not work. Candidates are advised to register on the new website as soon as possible. 

SSC CHSL 2024 Salary

Candidates shortlisted through the SSC CHSL examination will be entitled to salary packages under the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. The basic salary of SSC CHSL recruits will be in the range of Rs.19,900-25,000. The SSC CHSL salary structure is listed below in the table:

SSC CHSL Eligibility 2024

Candidates applying for the CHSL are required to fulfil the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria prescribed in the SSC CHSL Notification. The eligibility criteria for the examination will be based on nationality, Age and educational qualification. 

• Nationality: Candidates applying for the SSC CHSL must be citizens of India. Along with this, the candidates who are a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 are also eligible to apply for the exam. 
• Age Limit: The maximum and minimum age limit to fill SSC CHSL application form is 18 to 32 years as prescribed in the SSC CHSL 2023 Notification. However, age relaxation has been provided to reserved category candidates. 
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree 10+2 qualification from a recognized board.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2024

The SSC CHSL examination will be conducted in two tiers. Candidates can take a look at the following exam pattern information down below.

SSC CHSL 2024 Tier 1 Exam  Pattern 

The SSC CHSL exam pattern consists of tier 1 exam and it will be conducted in computer-based mode and will have 100 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) from four sections– English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, and General Awareness. 

SSC CHSL 2024 Tier 2 Exam  Pattern 

The SSC CHSL  Tier 2 exam will be in objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Module II of Section-III. Since SSC CHSL tier II has two sessions, the first session in which sections 1 module 1 and module 2 have 60 questions whereas sections 2 module 1 and 2 has also 60 questions. Section 3 module 1 has 15 questions. 

SSC CHSL Skill Test/ Typing Test 

The Skill Test will be conducted for candidates opting for the Data Entry Operator post while the Typing test will be conducted for the post of  PA/SA & LC. The Skill Test/ Typing Test is only qualifying and is not considered while preparing the final merit list.

SSC CHSL Syllabus 2024

The SSC CHSL syllabus 2024 is prescribed in the official notification. It provides comprehensive information of all the topics and subtopics from which the commission will curate the question papers for the recruitment examination. 

SSC CHSL 2024 Exam: Tier-I Syllabus 

As per the SSC CHSL official notification, the tier 1 syllabus is based on four subjects– English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, and General Awareness. Generally, the questions asked in the SSC CHSL are of easy to moderate difficulty level.

SSC CHSL 2024 Tier 2 Syllabus

The candidate will have to write a 200-250 words essay along with a 200-250 words letter/application 

SSC CHSL Admit Card 2024

SSC CHSL 2024 Admit Card is released for candidates who have successfully completed the application process. SSC circulars mention that the admit cards will be uploaded to the regional offices' websites approximately seven days prior to the examination. The SSC CHSL admit card will be released in the 3 stages.

SSC CHSL Result 2024

SSC CHSL Result will be released in 4 stages. Along with the results, candidates will also be able to download the merit list and cutoff of that particular phase of the examination on the official website of the SSC @ssc.nic.in. 

SSC CHSL Result Tier 1

The Commission usually releases the results for the SSC CHSL Tier 1 examination after two months from the successful completion of the examination process. Candidates will be able to check their individual scorecards from their respective regional website.

SSC CHSL Result Tier 2

Candidates shortlisted to appear for the  SSC CHSL Tier 2 examination will be able to check the results along with the cutoff list. Candidates will be available on the website of the Commission for a certain period after the release of the results. Candidates are expected to download SSC CHSL results PDF  in that span.

SSC CHSL Final Result

As per the SSC CHSL final results notification,  the selection and allocation of Ministries/ Departments/ Offices to the candidates in based on their qualification in DV and Tier-III (Skill Test) and their performance in ‘Tier-I +Tier-II’ examinations, along with the preference of Posts/ Departments given by them at the time of Document Verification.

SSC CHSL Cut Off 2024

Candidates applying for the SSC CHSL must have knowledge about the SSC CHSL cutoff for qualifying the examination. SSC CHSL exam is conducted in two tiers, However, the final merit list is created on the basis of results of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 examination only. Tier 2 session II has been divided into two parts which consist of a test/skill test which needs to be qualified for being eligible for the selection process.
