SSC CHSL 2024: SSC CHSL 2024: The Staff Selection Commission has unveiled the exam calendar for SSC CHSL 2024. According to the information shared by the exam conducting body, the notification for SSC CHSL 2024 is scheduled to be released on April 2, 2024. Subsequently, the deadline for submitting the application form is set for May 1, 2024. While the exact date for the SSC CHSL exam in 2024 has not been officially disclosed by the SSC, the examination authority has provided a tentative timeframe, suggesting that the SSC CHSL exam for 2024 is expected to take place in either June or July 2024.


SSC CHSL Syllabus: SSC releases SSC CHSL syllabus on its official webiste. Further, candidates must know that the SSC CHSL syllabus has been revised as only two tiers are included in the SSC CHSL exam. While the SSC CHSL Tier I is asked in MCQ format, whereas Tier II consists of MCQ + skill test and typing test. Further, the SSC CHSL Tier II exam has 3 sections further divided on 2 molecules. Hence, the SSC CHSL Tier I and Tier II syllabus are different. Both the SSC CHSL Tier I and II are conducted in CBT mode.

SSC CHSL Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus 

In the Quantitative Aptitude syllabus, the SSC evaluates candidates' problem-solving skills as well as their logical and analytical skills. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 will consist of 25 questions of 2 marks each from the Quantitative Aptitude section. Number Systems: Decimal and Fractions, Computation of Whole Numbers, Relationship between numbers.

Fundamental arithmetical operations:  Square roots, Mixture and alligation, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Discount, Partnership Business, Averages, Profit and Loss, Interest (Simple and Compound), Time and work, Time and distance.

Algebra: Basic algebraic formulas from school algebra and elementary surds (simple issues), as well as graphs of linear equations.

Geometry: Knowledge of basic geometry symbols and facts: Triangles and their different types of areas Triangle congruence and resemblance Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by a circle's chords, and common tangents to two or more circles.

Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.

Trigonometry: Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometry, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) 

Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Frequency polygon, Histogram, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart.

SSC CHSL 2023 Syllabus: Tier II

SSC CHSL Tier-II examination will be a descriptive Paper and will be conducted in ‘Pen and Paper Mode. The duration of the CHSL descriptive paper will be one hour and the maximum marks will be 100. The Paper will consist of writing Application/ Essay/Letter/Precis etc. and candidates can opt for English or Hindi as the medium of answer.
