SSC CGL Result 2025: The Staff Selection Commission releases the results for the SSC CGL exam on its official website - ssc.gov.in. Candidates who appear for the exam can check the result using their application number and password. The SSC CGL result 2024 Tier 2 date is March 2025. SSC will release the scorecard for candidates who appeared in the CGL examination 2025. The same can be downloaded by candidates at ssc.gov.in.
The SSC CGL result along with the minimum cutoff marks is announced post and category-wise. SSC CGL Cut off 2025 will vary for posts like Junior Statistical Officer, Statistical Investigator, Assistant Audit Officer, and others.
The Staff Selection Commission releases the CGL result in three phases - SSC CGL Tier 1 Result, SSC CGL Tier 2 Result, SSC CGL Final Result. The final result or final merit list is released after the document verification process.
The result for the SSC CGL exam is announced in a PDF format. The commission will release two PDFs - one containing the marks and roll number of selected candidates; the second contains the cut off marks (post-wise and category-wise).
When will SSC CGL Tier 2 Result 2025 be Declared?
Usually, the commission declares the SSC CGL Result within two months after the successful conduction of the examination. The candidates qualifying the Tier 1 of the examination will have to appear for Tier 2 of the SSC CGL Examination as scheduled by the Commission. Typically, the overall selection process for each year continues for over 2 years.
Along with SSC CGL Result, the Commission will also release the CGL post-wise and category-wise cutoff score. Candidates scoring equal to or above the cutoff score will be allowed to appear for the next phase of the recruitment process.
As per the criteria prescribed, the commission will select around 10 times the number of candidates for each phase of the selection process, in comparison to the available vacancies published in the SSC CGL Notification.

SSC CGL Result 2025: Tie-Breaking Criteria
The combined result will be available for the candidate once the results for all the phases of SSC CGL 2025 are announced. In the event that two or more candidates have the same total score, SSC CGL uses tie-breaking established criteria to establish a merit list. In the event of a tie, older candidates will be chosen, in case if the candidates have the same DOB further criteria will be used to create the merit list. The other factors taken into consideration in the sequential order are as follows:
- Total marks of candidates in Tier-I
- Total marks of candidates in Tier-II
- Date of birth
- Alphabetical order of names

Candidates qualifying for a particular phase of the examination will have to score equal to or greater than the SSC CGL cutoff marks prepared by the commission after the normalization of the score.
