Karnataka SSLC Board Exam 2026: Dates, Admit Card, Pattern, Syllabus & Model Papers

Karnataka SSLC Exam 2026: The School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa has announced on March 27, 2026 that the marks-based assessment for the third language paper has now been replaced with a grading system. According to this recent change, the marks obtained by the student in the third language paper will not be counted while calculating student’s final aggregate score. Student will now get awarded with a grade - A, B, C or D, instead of any marks or numerical score.

Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will conduct the Karnataka SSLC exam 1 from March 18 to April 2, 2026. The board has released the Karnataka SSLC Exam 1 and 2 timetable in online mode. A total of 9,02,889 candidates are going to sit for the Karnataka SSLC Exam 2026. Among them, 8,12,855 are fresh candidates, 62,845 are private candidates & 27,189 are private candidates. The exam will be conducted at around 2,871 exam centres across Karnataka. The Karnataka SSLC result 2026 for students who appeared for the Karnataka board class 10 exams will be announced on April 24. Students will be required to enter their roll number and other details in the login window to download their marks memo.

Students appearing for the Karnataka board exams can download their detailed datesheet from the official website - kseab.karnataka.gov.in. The Karnataka SSLC Exam 2 will be held from May 18 to 25, 2026, in pen-paper mode. The KSEAB board has uploaded the Karnataka SSLC syllabus and exam pattern for the academic session 2025-26 on its official website. Candidates can download the subject-wise syllabus to start their preparation for the Karnataka SSLC board exams. The Karnataka SSLC model papers 2026 for all the subjects are now available at kseab.karnataka.gov.in.

 According to the official release, last year, among Regular Fresh Students, 3,90,311 boys appeared for the exam, of whom 2,26,637 passed, achieving a pass percentage of 58.07%. As many as 4,00,579 girls appeared, with 2,96,438 passing, recording a higher pass percentage of 74.00%. Last year, the SSLC exam results were announced on May 2. The KSEAB results were available on the official website - karresults.nic.in. The KSEAB class 10 exam 2 result last year were released on June 13.

• KSEAB Karnataka SSLC mid-term exam 2025 is scheduled from Sepetmber 12 to 19, 2025. On the first day, students appeared for the first language papers while on the second day, core subjects like Science, Political Science exam will be conducted.

The Karnataka Board will announce the Karnataka SSLC result 2026 on April 24, 2026, on its official website. Karnataka SSLC Result 2026: Passing Criteria

Students need to secure at least 40 out of 150 marks in their Karnataka SSLC theory exams and 30 out of 50 marks in practical exams. The passing marks are at an aggregate of 35%. Those who fail to score the minimum marks will have to appear for the Karnataka SSLC supplementary exam.
