SSC JE Exam 2024: Exam Dates, Syllabus, Eligibility, Pattern, and Vacancies

SSC JE 2024 - The Staff Selection Commission conducted the SSC Junior Engineer exam on June 5, 6, and 7, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the SSC JE result 2024 at ssc.gov.in, once announced. The SSC JE result date is yet to be released by the commission. The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC JE notification 2024 on March 28, 2024. The notification contains details regarding the SSC JE  dates, vacancy, exam pattern, and syllabus. As per the SSC JE exam pattern 2024, there will be two tiers. SSC JE Paper 1 and Paper 2 are conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The type of questions asked in both SSC JE Paper 1 and Paper 2 are objective-type. The Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) exam Paper-I (CBE)  held on June 5, 6, and 7, 2024, respectively. 

SSC JE Paper 1 comprises three sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering. However, the SSC JE Paper 2 only consists of General Engineering (Civil & Structural, Electrical, Mechanical). Candidates can choose any one of the subjects from Civil & Structural, Electrical and Mechanical as per their educational background.

This year, SSC released 968 vacancies for Junior Engineer posts across various departments such as Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical. Last year, the Staff Selection Commission released a total of 1324 SSC JE vacancies .

SSC JE Eligibility 2024

The eligibility criteria for SSC JE (Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer) exam are the set of requirements and qualifications that candidates need to meet in order to be considered eligible to apply for the exam. The eligibility is based on the applicant’s age, nationality, and prior qualifications. Further, the eligibility criteria will differ based on the job role and different posts.

For positions with an age limit of 30 years or below, candidates should have been born between August 2, 1994, and August 1, 2006. For positions with an age limit of 32 years or below, candidates should have been born between August 2, 1992, and August 1, 2006.

SSC JE Application Form 2024

The SSC JE application process closed on April 19, 2024. SSC JE registration is an essential step for individuals aiming to participate in the Junior Engineer examination. SSC JE Salary 2024

The SSC JE Salary varies based on the government organization, department, and the level of the candidate's appointment. SSC JE Pattern 2024

The SSC JE 2024 will be held in two papers. Paper 1 is allocated 200 marks, while Paper 2 carries 300 marks. Paper 1 will consist of Multiple Choice Questions while paper 2 will be descriptive in nature. Further, paper 1 will include the deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer attempted by candidates.

SSC JE Answer Key 2024

The SSC JE answer key is a crucial resource that candidates can use to evaluate their performance in the examination. It is released by the Staff Selection Commission after conducting the SSC JE exam.
