SRMIST Chennai Admission 2024: SRM Institute of Science and Technology Chennai (SRMIST Chennai) provides an extensive array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs spanning six faculties: Engineering and Technology, Management, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science and Humanities, Law, and Agricultural Sciences. While most programs at SRM Institute of Science and Technology mandate students to undergo national-level entrance exams, some exceptions exist where direct applications are accepted.

To qualify for the B.Tech program at SRM University, candidates should have cleared or be in the process of completing their 10+2 exams in the current academic session with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects. Additionally, they must have studied any one of the following subjects at the 10+2 level: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, or Engineering Graphics from a recognized state board in India. 

Admission to the B.Tech course is based on the SRMJEE (UG) entrance test, and applicants must also meet the prescribed minimum marks criteria in their qualifying examination.

SRMIST M.Tech Admission 2024

SRMIST Chennai admission in a two-year master’s program requires a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree with at least 50% aggregate marks in fields like:

SRMIST Integrated M.Tech Admission 2024

SRM Chennai admission to a five-year integrated program in Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Material Science & Engineering mandates:

• A HSC (10+2) degree with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from any state board within India, CBSE, ICSE, Matriculation, or NIOS. (NOTE: Students who have completed their HSC degree from NIOS must have completed their 10th standard with regular schooling). 
• Students from international schools in India are eligible if they possess GCE A-level qualifications or an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma/certificate. They must have studied Physics and Mathematics and additionally one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies at an Advanced Placement level equivalent.
• To recognize and foster outstanding talent, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (previously SRM University) provides direct admissions and scholarships to students who secure the first rank in all central and state boards in India, the top 10,000 rank holders in IIT JEE, leading rankers from each district of Tamil Nadu, and exceptional athletes at both national and international levels.

SRMIST MBA Admission 2024

For admission to the MBA program, applicants should possess a bachelor's degree with at least a 60% aggregate. They should have taken one of the recognized national entrance tests like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, NMAT, or CMAT, or state-level exams like TANCET or SRM Joint Entrance Exam (SRMJEE-M). 

Candidates with 1-3 years of professional experience are preferred. It's recommended that applicants achieve a minimum of 50% in individual sections like English, quantitative techniques, and logical reasoning for these entrance tests. 

If the mentioned test scores are unavailable, other state common entrance test scores may be considered, provided the candidate scores a minimum of 60%. Selection is based on the entrance exam results, work experience, and a personal interview. The interview aims to gauge the applicant's personality, qualities, and essential managerial skills.

NOTE: 

The CAT 2023 results were announced on Thursday, December 21, 2023. 

Admit cards have been released for the XAT exam 2024. 

SRMIST Ph.D. Admission 2024

For admission to the Ph.D. program, applicants should hold a master's degree or an equivalent professional qualification from an accredited university, with a minimum of 55% average or equivalent to a B grade. For those seeking admission directly to the institution's Ph.D. program, completion of an M.Phil program with at least 55% or a B grade on the UGC 7-point scale is required. There's a 5% relaxation in grades for candidates from SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently-abled categories.

Doctoral candidates are categorised into:

1. Full-time candidates engage in comprehensive research at SRMIST, actively participating in the Ph.D. program, attending classes, and dedicating themselves to full-time research activities. 
2. Part-time (internal) candidates are SRMIST employees who pursue research at the university outside of their regular work hours. They balance part-time studies and research with their full-time roles at SRMIST. 
3. Conversely, part-time (external) candidates are professionals from various sectors, including industry, academia, government entities, and research institutions. These individuals are backed by their employers to undertake a Ph.D. at SRMIST while maintaining their full-time positions elsewhere.
