National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) Kundli, Sonipat: NIFTEM, Sonipat was established in 2012 by the Government of India. NIFTEM, as a premier institution under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), has established robust connections with various industries. It was conceptualized to meet the demands of the food industry and the requirement of a central authority to serve as a "One Stop Solution Provider" for the diverse challenges faced by the sector.

The NIFTEM is located in Kundi in the Sonipat district of Haryana, has been conferred deemed-to-be university status under the De-novo Category by the UGC, it is designated for institutions focused on innovation in teaching and research within emerging fields of knowledge. NIFTEM's primary areas of focus include teaching, research, consultancy, skill development, business incubation, and enterprise development.

NIFTEM- National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Admission 2025

The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli admissions are done through a centralized procedure laid down by the government of India for admissions in any centrally funded university. 

NIFTEM undergraduate B.Tech admissions are done through JEE Main examination and CSAB counseling. Candidates appearing for JEE Main examinations need to register for JoSAA counseling to take admissions into NIFTEM. 

NIFTEM postgraduate admissions are done through GATE examination, candidates should have a valid GATE result, followed by a personal interview. 

NIFTEM Admission 2025: Latest updates

• NTA has released JEE Main notifications for 2025, the exam will take place in two phases; phase 2 will be held from 1st to 8th April 2025.
• JEE Main registrations for Phase 2 have closed, the last date for registrations was 24th Feb 2025. 
• GATE 2025 Admit cards will be available in January 2025, the GATE exam will take place on 1st, 2nd, 15th and 16th of February 2025.

A total of 122 students from the undergraduate program graduated in the year 2023, out of which 85 students were placed with a median package of INR 7LPA. Similarly in the Postgraduate program total of 74 students graduated in 2023, out of which 68 students were placed with a median package of INR 6LPA.

The institution features fourteen world-class teaching and research laboratories, covering an impressive area of 7,200 m², with plans for additional high-tech research labs in the future. Special classrooms are equipped with multi-purpose podiums, projection systems, lecture recording capabilities, and audio systems to enhance the learning experience.

The faculty at NIFTEM is highly acclaimed, with global exposure and the inclusion of visiting foreign faculty. Laundry services for washing and ironing clothes are also available, and staying in the hostel is mandatory for all students.

• Classrooms: NIFTEM features eight 100-seater classrooms and nine 25-seater classrooms, all equipped with multipurpose podiums, projection systems, lecture recording capabilities, and audio systems. These facilities enhance the learning experience by aiding students in understanding complex concepts through three-dimensional visualization.
• Library: NIFTEM Knowledge Center is a multi-level, five-story facility that spans 5,474.29 sqm and features state-of-the-art resources designed to support the academic and research needs of students and faculty alike.
• Auditorium: NIFTEM has a fully equipped auditorium with a seating capacity of 650 and state-of-the-art logistics as well as lights and sound system to support all kinds of programs, conferences, etc.
