What's New in NEET PG 2023? NEET PG counselling round 3 is about to come to an end. Currently, MCC started with the process of reporting to the allotted colleges process. The last date to report to the college is set as October 05, 2023.  Further, NEET PG online stray vacancy round will begin on October 09, 2023. 

MCC released NEET PG round 3 seat allotment result 2023. The result will be released on the official website.  Recently, MCC announced that NEET PG cut off percentile has been abolished and with that the NEET PG round 3 counselling dates have been revised.  

MCC recently announced that the NEET PG cut off percentile has been abolished completely. With that the dates of NEET PG round 3 counselling again started on September 25, 2023.  Further, seat allotment will begin on September 26 to 27, 2023. On September 28, 2023, the NEET PG round 3 allotment result will be declared. Candidates who will be allotted seats in round 3 will then be eligible to report at the allotted colleges between September 29 and October 6 (5 PM).

NEET PG counselling round 2 seat allotment result 2023 was announced on August 28, 2023. The MCC released the NEET PG round 2 counselling seat allotment result on the official website. After the result declaration, candidates will be able to submit their documents on the MCC portal on August 29, 2023.  Also, the NEET PG counselling registration for round 3 will begin on September 07, 2023. 

MCC started the NEET PG counselling round 2 registration on August 17, 2023.  The last date of NEET PG registration for round 1 is set as August 22, 2023.  Further, the MCC will also begin with the choice filling process on August 19 to 22, 2023. After the process of choice filling is completed, MCC start the seat allotment process.

NEET PG Seat Allotment result 2023 for round 1 was declared on August 07, 2023. With that, the MCC started with reporting to the assigned colleges.  The last date for the reporting is set as August 14, 2023. After the reporting process completes, MCC will begin with verification of the documents from August 15, 2023 till 17, 2023.

Candidates can visit the MCC login page to check the seat allotment result. Further, candidates have to upload the necessary document on the MCC portal on August 08. Also, from August 08 to 14, 2023, candidates have to report to their respective colleges.  Later, on the verification of documents of those candidates who have joined will be done from August 15 to 17, 2023.

Meanwhile, NEET PG 2023 counselling began on July 27, 2023. Further, MCC revised the last date for the NEET Counselling registration. As per the new dates, the round 1 registration concluded on August 04, 2023. Earlier, the last date for the NEET Counselling registration was August 01, 2023.

NEET PG Counselling 2023 (Direct Link)

NEET PG Counselling 2023: Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the NEET PG Counselling process 2023. NEET PG counselling process began on July 27, 2023. MCC has released the entire schedule for the NEET PG counselling 2023.  Meanwhile, the counselling procedures take place once the candidate has qualified for the NEET PG exam. The MCC conducts the process for admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, all deemed/central universities, and ESIC/AFMS colleges, whereas the 'State Quota Seat Allotment Process' will be conducted by the different state counselling authorities. The process is an essential process of the NEET PG exam as candidates are able to get admission through this. 

The MCC conducts a total of four rounds of counselling for seat allotment, round 1, round 2, mop-up round, and stray vacancy round. In order to enrol in the counselling process, candidates have to first register themselves online, and then they become eligible to claim seats in the process. Further, the MCC releases seat allotment results based on choice filled, availability of seats in particular institutes, reservation criteria, and other factors. 

Later, the seat allotment results will be released separately for every round. Once the results are announced, the counselling process for NEET PG begins. Only candidates who pass the NEET PG with the required cut-off percentile are eligible to participate in the seat allocation process. NEET PG 2023 counselling process consists of online registration, fee payment, choice declaration, seat allotment result, and reporting. It should be noted that MCC conducts counselling for 50% of AIQ seats, while respective state counselling authorities will conduct counselling for the remaining 50% of AIQ seats.

MCC handles the seat allocation process for deemed, central universities, 50% AIQ seats, and 50 State quota seats. Candidates must first register online before they may take part in the counselling process. Candidates should note that it is mandatory for aspirants to make online registration to become eligible for seat allotment. MCC will announce the seat allotment results based on the choices made, the availability of seats in a specific institute, the reservation criteria, and other factors. In order to participate in the NEET PG 2023 counselling process must score more than or equal to the qualifying NEET PG cutoffs released by MCC. NEET PG Counselling Process

Candidates who clear the NEET PG 2022 with a minimum cut-off percentile are eligible to participate in the counselling process. NEET PG counselling is held for admission to 50% All India Quota seats and 100% seats at deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS. MCC will conduct four rounds of NEET PG counselling 2022 for the above seats.

Further, the respective state authorities will conduct a counselling process for the remaining 50 % of AIQ seats. The counselling process begins with online registration and concludes with candidates reporting to the designated institute with all required documents. How to Register for NEET PG Counselling Process

Step 1: Registration 

The first step for those candidates who want to take part in the NEET PG counselling process is registration. Candidates have to register themselves on the official website of MCC, and candidates must know that MCC accepts registration before each round. However, candidates are required to register for the NEET PG counselling only once and do not need to register a second time. 

Steps to register for the counselling of NEET PG 2022 have been listed below:

  • Go to the official website 
  • On the homepage, the candidate will find the link that reads 'PG medical counselling’ 
  • Now, candidates need to register using their valid mail ID and phone number 
  • Candidates have to write the details of their credentials 
  • The candidate has to log in again to fill out the application form

Step 2: Registration fee

In order to participate in the counselling process, candidates are required to pay a registration fee

Choice Filling 

In this step, candidates need to select the desired course and college from the list provided by MCC. Candidates have the option to select as many options as they want. The option which has been given on the left side of the screen will then move to the right side of the page that the candidate has selected. Further, candidates have the add or remove options in the list.  

Candidates are advised to double-check their choices before submitting them, as seat allocation will be based on them.  Candidates must lock their choice or it will be locked automatically after the due date. They must also keep a copy of the choices filled in for future use.

Steps to  fill the choice for NEET PG seat allotment

Seat allotment Result

The NEET PG counselling results are released by the MCC in the form of a seat allotment list. The results PDF consists of details including the candidate, rank secured, the course or the institute allotted to her/him, and remarks. MCC will begin seat allotment processing after the registration process for the first round of NEET PG 2022 counselling.

On the basis of options filled by the candidates, their all-India ranks, reservation criteria, availability of seats, and other aspects, the seats will be allotted. Further, the seat allotment list will be uploaded on the official website in PDF format. 

Candidates who will succeed in the seat allotment process can download their allotment letter by logging into their registered account on the official website.

Reporting to the Institute 

Candidates who will be successfully allotted a seat in the counselling process will then have to report to the allocated institute. Candidates must carry the necessary certificates in original along with a self-attested copy. Further, they have to pay the required fees to secure their seats during the counselling process. NEET PG Seat Matrix

The NEET PG 2022 seat matrix shows the number of seats available for each speciality course. The seat matrix also specifies the number of seats available for each candidate category. It will be made available before each round of NEET PG counselling in 2023. Before filling out the preference form, candidates should consult the NEET PG seat matrix 2022 to determine their chances of getting the desired speciality with their score.

NEET PG Counselling Round 1: Options to Choose

Once the results for seat allotment for the first round of NEET PG 2023 counselling are out, candidates have to select their options based on their status. They must select one of the following options to give their accent in order to participate in the next round of NEET PG 2023 counselling.

Option 1: This option is termed a 'free exit'. If in case, a candidate does not report to their allotted institute within the given duration time, then their NEET PG counselling 2023 round one gets automatically cancelled

Option 2: If the candidate is satisfied with the given seat in the round of counselling and reports to the given college during the time frame will be able to secure their seat. 

Option 3: For those candidates who are not satisfied with the given seat in the first round have the option to opt for the up-gradation of seats and participate in the next round of counselling. If a seat is not upgraded in the second round of NEET PG 2023 counselling, the seat in the first round will be retained. 

NEET PG Counselling 2023 2nd Round 

The NEET PG second-round counselling process is similar to the first round. New candidates who did not participate in the first round must register and pay the registration fee in this round. Those who registered during round one are not required to register again. However, regardless of whether they declare their preference in the first round of NEET PG 2023 counselling, all candidates must fill out the choice form.

Who is eligible to participate in NEET PG round two counselling?

  • Candidates who were not able to get any seat in NEET PG counselling round one 
  • The seat which was assigned in round one but was cancelled during the physical document verification process
  • If a candidate wishes to upgrade his or her allotted seat in the NEET PG round one counselling
  • Candidates who chose the 'free exit' option or did not participate in the first round of counselling

NEET PG Counselling: The Mop-up Round

The NEET PG 2023 mop-up round will be held for seat allotment in deemed, central universities, and ESIC institutes. Applicants who didn't show up to the college that was allotted to them during rounds one and two of counselling will need to sign up for the NEET PG mop-up counselling in 2023.

If candidates did not receive a seat in either round 1 or 2, then candidates are not required to reapply for the mop-up round. In this round of the seat allocation process, all candidates will be required to fill out new choices of colleges/courses. The mop-up round seat allotment results will be posted on the official website.

NEET PG Counselling for State Quota Seats

As mentioned earlier, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible to give admission to the 50% AIQ seats of government, government-aided and private colleges in India.  Further, the rest of 50 % of the colleges also take admission through candidates' NEET PG scores. However, the respective state government conducts the counselling process for these colleges.
