CTET Application Form 2024: Application (Concludes), Steps to Fill, Documents Required

CTET application process 2024 has been concluded on November 27, 2023. Earlier, the last date to fill the application form 2024 was November 23, 2024. However, CBSE extended the last date. Now, CBSE will release the CTET admit card 2024 soon.

CTET Application Form 2024: Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CTET application form 2024. The application form was released on the official website. The last to fill the CTET application form 2024 was set as November 27, 2023.  Earlier, the last date to submit the CTET application form 2024 was November 23, 2023.  However, the board extended the deadline. 

Since the CTET application process 2024 has been completed, the board will release the time frame for the application correction window. During this time, candidates can make changes to their application if they have entered any wrong information. 

Before filling the CTET application form, candidates should first check their CTET eligibility. If the candidate fulfils the CTET eligibility, then he or she can fill the application form. Those who fill the CTET application form will be eligible to get their CTET admit card. The application process is a lengthy procedure as it includes registration for the exam, filling in CTET application form details, and paying application fees. 

The teacher's eligibility exam has two papers. While CTET paper 1 is for those candidates who wish to teach students of classes 1 to 5, CTET paper 2 is for those aspirants who want to become teachers of classes 6 to 8. Since there are two papers, the fee structure for both papers is different.  Also, if a candidate wishes to teach students from 1 to 8 classes, then he or she has to appear for both the CTET papers, and the fee structure for attempting both exams is different compared to papers 1 and 2.

Candidates must be aware that when they get their city intimation slip, it will be based on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to capacity availability in the examination location. Those students who will get their online application procedure done and pay their application fees on a first-come, first-served basis will be assigned the examination city of their choice based on availability. CTET eligibility, application form, and CTET admit card are on of the most essential aspects for a candidate appearing for the CTET exam 2024. 

Also, in case an aspirant cancels the transaction, then the entire amount of the CTET application fees will be reimbursed to his or her account as per the payment method, and also the candidate's candidature will not be considered for the teacher's eligibility exam. Further, if a candidate requests to modify the location of the test will not be entertained. 

Steps to Fill CTET Application Form 2024 

Since the application form is out, candidates can now fill out the application form by visiting the official website. Further, candidates can follow these simple steps by following the given method.

Step 1: Make the Registration for CTET Exam 2024 

In order to fill out the CTET 2024 application form, candidates need to first register themselves. 

  • Go to the official webiste of CTET, CBSE 
  • On the homepage, candidates will find the link that reads 'CTET Application Form 2024' -- Click on that 
  • Now, candidates need to click on the apply button  under the New Candidate Registration link
  • Once clicked, candidates need to go through the information brochure and tap on the checkbox
  • After this, candidates need to click on the 'Proceed' button 

Once the candidate has completed the registration process, candidates need to fill in the details which are asked. Candidates can take a look at the following details which need to be filled in. 

  • Candidates name 
  • Candidate's parent's name 
  • DOB
  • ID number 
  • ID type 
  • Gender 
  • Email ID 
  • Candidate's address 
  • Password 
  • Security questions, answer, and pin
  • Candidate's mobile number 

NOTE: After filling in the details, candidates need to verify the details 

Step 2: Fill the CTET Application Form 2024 Online 

Now, candidates need to fill in the rest of the details that are asked in the application form. However, candidates must note that the information they are providing should be similar to the information they have provided in their class 10 certificate. 

Step 3: Uploading the Documents 

Once the candidate has filled out the application form, he or she has uploaded the necessary documents which include their photo and signature.

The image dimension of the photo should be 3.5 x 4.5, whereas the dimension of the signature should be 3.5 x 1.5. On the other hand, the size of the photo should be 10-200 kb, and for the signature the size should be 4-30 kb. 

Step 4: Paying the Application Fees 

Once the candidate has filled the application form and uploaded the documents, then he or she has to pay the application fees. Now, candidates must note that the application fees for different categories vary. Hence, candidates should pay the application fee for the category they belong to. Also, since the examination has two papers, the fees for both exam is different in nature. 

Candidates can pay the application fees by e-challan in Canara Bank/ Syndicate Bank or even through debit, credit card, and net banking. Candidates can take a look at the following application fees for the CTET 2024 examination.

NOTE: Candidate must note that if candidates from general and OBC categories wish to appear for both the exam, then they have to pay a fee of INR 1200, whereas candidates belonging to SC, ST and Differently Abled Person have to pay INR 600 if they wish to attempt both CTET paper 1 and 2. 

CTET Application Correction Window

Once the candidate has filled the application form, then they will be provided with a time frame where they can make changes to their application form if required. The time frame is called the 'Application Correction Window' where if a candidate has made any error while filling the application form, then they can make changes.

After the registration process is completed, the application correction window will be available for about a week. However, candidates must note that there are only limited details wherein candidates can make changes including :
