Duolingo English Test Registration Process: Step-By-Step

Following are the steps that one needs to complete in order to register for the Duolingo test-

Step 1: Create an account or log in on the app or the official website

Step 2: Before the account is made, students will be asked what they are interested in from Graduate admissions, undergraduate admissions, middle or high school admissions, and work opportunities or intakes- applicants must select the appropriate option. 

Step 3: Further, applicants will be asked how they heard about the exam from the following: Study portals, social media, blogs & articles, friends and families, counsellors, advisors, agents, etc- students must choose the appropriate option.

Step 4: After this, the account will be successfully made and students will be presented with the options of- 

• Practice Test
• Purchase the Test
• Pre-Test Survey
• Take the Test

Step 5: Applicants are advised to practice for the test before appearing for it. Once they are prepared, they will need to purchase the test by paying the fee and downloading the Duolingo English Test desktop application. It is necessary to install the application in order to take the test. 

Step 6: Before taking the test, applicants will need to take the Pre-test survey.

Duolingo English Test Registration: Conditions

As stated earlier, students will need to meet a few conditions and requirements before appearing for the exam. • The exam will not be certified if the full-screen mode is exited or the cursor leaves the screen
• Candidates must close all external programs while giving the exam
• Communication with another person is strictly prohibited
• The presence of another person in the exam room is strictly prohibited
• Usage of any outside reference material is strictly prohibited

The last requirement that applicants will be asked to follow before taking the test is to read the test security agreement. Students must read the document carefully and once they have ticked the asked key points, they can proceed to take the Duolingo English Test. 

Duolingo English Test Registration: Reschedule and Cancellation 

The tests must be taken within 21 days of the test's purchase. A single user may purchase or utilize a coupon for no more than 3 tests in any 30-day period. If students wish to file an appeal for invalid test results, the same must be filed within the duration of 72 hours. This simply means that after registering for the examination, candidates have 21 days to take the Duolingo exam. Candidates who choose not to take the test within 21 days of purchase are not given a refund.
