The Bihar Police Constable Recruitment selection process is divided into 4 main stages: written test, physical fitness test, document verification, and medical examination. Candidates who pass the written test will be eligible to appear for the second stage, the physical fitness test.  The marks scored in the written test will not be considered for the final merit list. Successful candidates will then have to appear for the document verification process followed by the medical examination. 

Only the candidates who clear the medical examination round will be allotted Constable posts under the Bihar Police Department. Selected candidates will then have to undergo 3 years of probation. Probationers will not receive a salary, however, they will be paid a monthly stipend. The basic Bihar Police Constable salary ranges from INR 21,700 to INR 69,100 per month.
