NEET PG Result 2025: Date, Steps to Check, Scorecard, Merit List

NEET PG Result 2025:  National Board of Examinations releases the NEET PG results on its official website - nbe.edu.in. Candidates can check their final results by logging in to the NBE NEET PG exam portal. Along with the results, the NBE also releases the NEET PG Cut-Off on the same day. Candidates who achieve scores above the minimum cut off will be considered qualified. NBEMS will also release a NEET PG merit list along with the cut off. 

Candidates whose names will be included in the merit list will be eligible for the NEET PG counselling process. Based on the previous years' cut off, the qualifying cutoff percentile is 50 for general candidates, while for the reserved category, it is 40. Based on scores achieved in the NEET PG exam, a merit list will be released for 50% of All India Quota seats.

The counselling process for the medical exam will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee.  MCC will conduct the NEET PG counselling process for 50% AIQ and 50% state quota seats. The NEET PG question paper consists of 200 questions, and each question will be of 4 marks, which in total makes the exam 800 marks.

The NBE will release the NEET PG result on the official website - nbe.edu.in. Candidates will be able to check their results by logging in using details such as application number and password. Candidates can follow the given below steps to check their results. 

Step 1: Visit the official website of NBE - nbe.edu.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the NEET PG tab

Step 3: Now, candidates need to log in by using their valid credentials 

Step 4: Once logged in, the NEET PG results will be displayed on the screen in PDF form

Step 5: A list will open on candidate’s screen

Step 6: Candidates need to scroll through the list and look for their roll number

Step 7: Candidates can check their results

Step 3: Now, candidates need to log in using their registration Id and password generated at the time of registration

NEET PG Scorecard 2025: Details Mentioned

After downloading the NEET PG scorecard, candidates are required to check all the details mentioned on it carefully. Here are the major details mentioned on a NEET PG scorecard:

• Candidate’s DOB
• PWD status of candidate 
• Category of candidate 
• Number of wrong answer in exam 
• Number of right answer in exam
• Marks obtained (out of 800)

Candidates should go through the details mentioned on the score card and if in case they find any errors, then he/she must contact the NBE authorities immediately and get it rectified. If a candidate does not get the error rectified on the NEET PG results, then he or she may lose the chance to attend the counselling session even after qualifying for the examination. 

NEET PG 2025: Cut off Score and Percentile

In order to qualify in the NEET PG exam, candidates are required to secure more than or equal to the cut off percentile prescribed by the NBE. Further, candidates should be aware that the NEET PG cut-off is different for candidates belonging to different categories. NBE has the option to revise the NEET PG cut-off score in consent with the Medical Council of India (MCI). However, this can only happen when the number of qualified candidates is insufficient.

• Calculated based on the candidate's performance in comparison to the possible score

All India 50% Quota Rank

This merit list refers to the overall merit list and indicates the merit position of the candidate amongst all who have appeared for the medical entrance exam irrespective of different categories. This type of merit list includes information such as the names of all the candidates who have appeared for the examination.

All India 50% Quota Category Rank: 

This refers to a category-wise merit list and depicts the merit position of the candidate from only that category (OBC/SC/ST), as opted by the candidate. This list includes the names of those candidates who had opted for reservations under the respective category.

NEET Result 2025: Validity

The NEET PG result for all the candidates will remain valid for only one academic session and cannot be carried forward to the next session. Hence, if a candidate fails to take admission in one session, they will have to re-appear for NEET PG in the next session for the next admission cycle.
