NEET PG Results 2024:  National Board of Examinations release the NEET PG results on its official website, nbe.edu.in. The NEET PG results have been released in the form of a merit list and candidates can check their results by logging in on the portal. Candidates should be aware that if they score the minimum cut-off, then they will be declared qualified for the examination. Along with the results, the NBE also releases the NEET PG Cut-Off on the same day. 

Candidates whose names will be included in the merit list will be allowed to sit for the NEET PG counselling process for seat allotment.  NEET PG results are one of the main documents for a candidate as after qualifying for the exam, candidates will be able to enrol themselves for MD MS programmes in medical colleges across India

For the general category, the qualifying cutoff percentile is 50, while for the reserved category, it is 40. Candidates must know that on the basis of marks of the NEET PG exam 2024, a merit list will be released for 50% of All India Quota seats.  Candidates who have qualified the examination are now eligible to appear for the NEET PG 2024 counselling process. The counselling process for the medical exam will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee.  MCC will conduct the NEET PG counselling process for 50% AIQ and 50% state quota seats. The NEET PG question paper consists of 200 questions, and each question will be of 4 marks, which in total makes the exam 800 marks.

NEET PG Results 2024 

Candidates who will score the minimum qualifying cut-off will be declared qualified for the examination. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET PG counselling for 50 %  AIQ and 50% state quota seats. The previous year's cut-off of the NEET PG exam for the general category was 275, while that for SC/ST/OBC and General PH was 245 and 260 respectively. Cut off score and percentile for NEET PG 2024

In order to qualify for the NEET PG exam, candidates are required to secure more than or equal to the cut off percentile prescribed by the NBE. Further, candidates should be aware that the NEET PG cut-off is different for candidates belonging to different categories. NBE has the option to revise the NEET PG cut-off scores in consent with the Medical Council of India (MCI). However, this can only happen when the number of qualified candidates is insufficient.

Different Types of NEET PG Results 

There are two types of results that are released by the NBE for candidates to take admission to the PG courses at medical colleges across India. The scores of the NEET PG exam 2024 will be used by the medical colleges or allocate different categories of seats to candidates. Take a look below: 

Results for 50% AIQ seats

This category of NEET PG results is for admission to 50 % of All India Quota Seats. The Medical Counselling Committee will conduct the counselling for these seats. Further, on the basis of AIQ ranks, reservation, availability of seats and choice filled by candidates, they will get the seats. The results will be released by the NBE in a PDF format and the minimal qualifying percentile serves as the cutoff for admission to AIQ 50% seats.

Results for State quota seats

Candidates who want to take admission for the state quota are eligible for this type of results.  For admission to the PG programmes under the state quota category, counselling is conducted by the relevant State agencies. Candidates must know that no other exams are allowed to be conducted by the states to distribute seats for the MD, MS, or PG diploma.

How are the Marks Calculated for NEET PG Result?

Different Types of Merit Lists for NEET PG Results 

All India 50% Quota Rank

This merit list refers to the overall merit list and indicates the merit position of the candidate amongst all who have appeared for the medical entrance exam irrespective of different categories. This type of merit list includes information such as the names of all the candidates who have appeared for the examination.

All India 50% Quota Category Rank: 

This refers to a category-wise merit list and depicts the merit position of the candidate from only that category (OBC/SC/ST), as opted by the candidate. This list includes the names of those candidates who had opted for reservations under the respective category.

Validity of NEET Results 2024 

The validity of the NEET PG results 2024 is an important factor that candidates must be aware of.
