GPAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: Required Educational Qualifications & Age Limit

GPAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued the GPAT exam eligibility criteria along with the official information bulletin on its official website - natboard.edu.in. Candidates who wish to appear for the Gratitute Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2024 should go through the eligibility criteria before registering for the the entrance exam. Those candidates who fulfil the GPAT eligibility criteria will be granted admission into M.Pharma courses.

GPAT Exam 2024 Highlights 

GPAT is an annual National Level Entrance Examination for entry into the M. Pharma Programme. Candidates applying for the exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed in the official notification. Check the important exam highlights in the table below. 

GPAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications

Only the candidates who fulfil the following educational requirements can appear for GPAT 2024:

• Candidates must have qualified 10 + 2 examination
• Candidates must possess a degree in Bachelor’s of Pharmacy or equivalent from a recognised university
• Candidates in the final year of B. Pharma can also appear for GPAT 2024
• Candidates with a degree in B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) or equivalent courses are not eligible to apply for GPAT 2024

GPAT Exam 2024: Reservation Criteria

As mentioned in NTA’s official notification, the following reservation criteria will be applicable in case of the institutes that are run by the Central government:

• Seats reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates: 15%
• Seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates: 7.5%
• Seats reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List: 27%
• Seats reserved for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates: 10%
• Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability
