CUET Eligibility 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) eligibility criteria on its official website. The CUET 2024 exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses at different central universities and other CUET-participating institutions. The eligibility requirements decide whether or not the aspiring student is qualified to take the exam. Candidates must make sure they meet all the eligibility requirements failing which they will be barred from the CUET selection process.
The list of requirements for CUET-UG eligibility revolves around the candidate's age limit and educational qualifications. The CUET 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 15-31, 2024. Following the successful conclusion of the exam, the CUET 2024 result will be tentatively released in June 2024. - Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in their Class 12. However, aspirants from SC/ST category must have 45% marks to become eligible for the exam.
- Students must have relevant subjects in their Class 12.
- While taking the Class 12 board examination, candidates can apply for CUET. However, at the time of counselling, they would need to present the passing certificate.
CUET Eligibility 2024: Nationality
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen
- A subject of Nepal, Bhutan is also eligible for the CUET exam.
- Refugees from Tibet who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently.
- Permanently migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam, East African countries Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania.
CUET Eligibility 2024: Age Limit
There is no minimum or maximum age to take the CUET Exam 2024. To participate in the exam, candidates must meet the educational requirements.
CUET Eligibility: Number of Attempts
There is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can take. Aspirants can take the exam as many times provided they fulfill the other eligibility requirements.
