CPGET Eligibility 2023: Osmania University conducts the Common Post-Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET) and prescribes the eligibility criteria for the same. The CPGET examination is held for admission to postgraduate courses such as M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, P.G. Diploma, and 5-year integrated courses. Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree to be eligible to take the CPGET examination.
For the courses of the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Social Sciences, candidates need to have secured at least 40% marks in their Bachelor’s degree examination or its equivalent CGPA. Candidates of SC/ST categories should have passed their Bachelor’s degree qualification.
Candidates aspiring to secure admission to the Faculty of Education need to hold a B.Ed. or B.P.Ed degree with 55% Marks, while SC/ST/OBC candidates need to have 50% Marks in their qualifying examination. The eligibility criteria for each of the subjects is different and many courses need candidates to have studied the specific subject in their graduation.

Faculty of Arts
For admission to courses that fall under the Faculty of Arts, candidates should have secured at least 40% marks or an equivalent CGPA in their Bachelor’s degree. Candidates of SC/ST categories are eligible to take CPGET if they have passed their Bachelor’s degree examination.
