Established in 1998 as a non-profit public-private partnership (N-PPP), the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT Hyderabad) is an autonomous university in Telangana, India. IIIT Hyderabad secured the 55th position in the engineering category by NIRF Ranking 2023. The institute is recognised by UGC, approved by AICTE, and accredited by NAAC (Grade A).

IIIT Hyderabad offers various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. B.tech is the flagship course offered at IIIT Hyderabad. IIIT Hyderabad B.tech admission mandates a Higher Secondary Certificate degree (10+2). Applicants should have a national-level (JEE Main) score followed by a counseling process. IIIT Hyderabad admission to a variety of undergraduate programs is based on JEE Main or UGEE scores. Admission to other PG and research programs (M.Tech, M.S., and Ph.D.) is based on the IIITH PGEE. IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Admission 2024

IIIT Hyderabad offers admission in a four-year undergraduate program in two courses: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE). Each program has 100 seats for JEE mode applicants. These seats are divided into two pools:

• Common Pool: 75% of total seats
• Diversity Pool: 25% of total seats

All JEE mode applicants are eligible for seats in the Common Pool. However, only female applicants whose JEE Main score is in the top 1% percentile are eligible for the Diversity Pool.

IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech & M.S Admission 2024

IIIT Hyderabad admission to B.Tech & M.S (5-year) dual degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computational Natural Sciences, and Computing and Human Sciences mandates applicants to take the IIITH UGEE Entrance Test and then go to counseling. The test has two parts:

• Subject Proficiency Test: This part tests one’s knowledge of math, physics, and chemistry.
• Research Aptitude Test: This part tests one’s ability to think critically and to solve problems.

IIIT Hyderabad M.Tech Admission 2024

IIIT Hyderabad admission to M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Computer Science and Information Security (CSIS), Computer-Aided Structural Engineering (CASE), and Product Design and Management (PDM) necessitate applicants to take the IIIT Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE). 

The PGEE is a computer-based exam that is conducted by the institute at various centers across India. After one takes the PGEE, they will be invited to an interview. IIIT Hyderabad admission to the M.S program in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Linguistics, IT in Building Science, Information Technology, and Computational Natural Sciences will be based on the PGEE entrance examination. This will be followed by an interview. After a seat is allotted, the candidate should pay INR 10,000 as a seat acceptance fee.

IIIT Hyderabad Ph.D. Admission 2024

IIIT Hyderabad admission to the doctoral program in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bioinformatics, IT in Building Science, Computational Linguistics, Spatial Informatics, Computational Natural Sciences, and Cognitive Science will be based on their performance in the IIITH Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE) and an interview. 

After the exam results are released, a merit list is published on the institute's website. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for an interview, where they are asked to give a statement of purpose for selecting their area of specialization. The final selection of candidates is done based on their performance in the interview. Those who are selected are required to pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 10,000.
