IIIT-Hyderabad UGEE-2025: Dual Degree Admission Process

The online admission process for IIIT-Hyderabad's UGEE-2025 (Undergraduate Entrance Examination) for the 5-year Dual Degree program has officially started. The last date for registration is 23rd March 2025, and the exam is scheduled for 19th April 2025. The dual degree program allows students to earn two degrees: a B.Tech and a Master of Science by Research upon completion.

The premier course at IIIT Hyderabad is B.Tech.  IIIT Hyderabad B.tech admission requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2). Applicants need a national-level (JEE Main) score, and the selection process involves counselling. In terms of seat allocation, the total enrollment for the UG program in the academic year 2022-23 was 736 students, consisting of 559 males and 177 females. For the academic year 2024, the tuition fee for a single B.Tech degree at IIIT Hyderabad is INR 3,60,000 per annum.

IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Admission 2025

IIIT Hyderabad extends admissions to a four-year undergraduate program with two specialisations: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE). Each program reserves 100 seats for applicants applying through the JEE mode. These seats are categorised into two pools:

• Common Pool: Constituting 75% of the total seats
• Diversity Pool: Comprising 25% of the total seats

Every applicant applying through the JEE mode is eligible for seats in the Common Pool. However, eligibility for the Diversity Pool is limited to female applicants whose JEE Main score falls within the top 1% percentile.

Seat allotment utilises a unified rank list encompassing all JEE mode applicants. Initially, the Diversity Pool is allocated, and subsequently, remaining seats are filled by considering female applicants in the Common Pool. Admission to IIIT Hyderabad's B.Tech & M.S (5-year) dual degree programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computational Natural Sciences, and Computing and Human Sciences necessitates candidates to undergo the IIITH UGEE Entrance Test, followed by a counselling session. The entrance test comprises two sections:

• Subject Proficiency Test: This assesses the candidate's knowledge of mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
• Research Aptitude Test: This evaluates the candidate's critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

IIIT Hyderabad M.Tech Admission 2025

Admission to M.Tech programs at IIIT Hyderabad, including Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Computer Science and Information Security (CSIS), Computer-Aided Structural Engineering (CASE), and Product Design and Management (PDM), requires candidates to undergo the IIIT Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE).

Admission to the M.S program at IIIT Hyderabad, covering Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Linguistics, IT in Building Science, Information Technology, and Computational Natural Sciences, will be determined by the IIIT PGEE entrance examination. Subsequently, candidates undergo an interview. Once a seat is allocated, the candidate is required to submit a seat acceptance fee of INR 10,000.

IIIT Hyderabad Ph.D Admission 2025

Admission to the doctoral program at IIIT Hyderabad, encompassing Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bioinformatics, Information Technology in Building Science, Computational Linguistics, Spatial Informatics, Computational Natural Sciences, and Cognitive Science, will be contingent on candidates' performance in the IIITH Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE) and a subsequent interview.
