UGC NET 2025: Paper 2 Exam Preparation 

The UGC NET exam takes place in two papers. While paper 1 is considered general in nature and is compulsory for every student to appear, in paper 2, students first need to select the subject from the 82 subjects while filling out the application form. Candidates should also check the UGC NET exam pattern. Both the papers of the UGC NET are in MCQ form. Paper 2 of UGC NET contains 82 subjects, and students are advised to check the subjects on the official website.  

Paper 2 consists of 100 questions, and each question is of 2 marks. With this, Paper 2 is of 200 marks, and the duration of the exam is 2 hours. Similarly to paper 1, there is no negative marking in paper 2 as well. The minimum qualifying mark for paper 2 is also 40%.
