Generally, the UPPSC results for the preliminary examination are released within two months of the exam date for different job posts. The performance of the candidates in the mains and the interview round of the selection process is taken into account while calculating the UPPSC result. The Prelims score is only considered to determine who is eligible to attempt the mains exam. The UPPSC adopts a normalization method to make sure that the performance of each applicant is fairly assessed, taking into account the differences in the level of difficulty of the exam questions between different batches of applicants.
