UPPSC PCS 2024: Exam Dates, Pattern, Syllabus, Preparation, Books & Result

UPPSC PCS 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is going to conduct the UPPSC PCS preliminary exam tentatively in May 2024, as per the previous year trend. The final dates for the examination are yet to be announced. The registration process for the PCS exam was open till February 2, 2024. 

Candidates interested in appearing for the UPPSC exams may check the official exam calendar published on the website. In order to appear for UPPSC examination, candidates must have their copy of hall tickets. Candidates will be able to download the UPPSC admit card for the exam from the official website.

Latest Updates:

• The new exam date for UPPSC PSC prelims is likely to be announced soon. 
• As per the latest notification, UPPSC prelims exam has been postponed to July 2024 due to unknown reasons. 
• UPPSC PCS prelims exam was earlier scheduled to be held on March 17, 2024. 
• UPPSC APS result for 2023 session has been declared on March 4, 2024 at uppsc.up.nic.in. The APS exam was conducted on January 7, 2024. 
• The UPPSC APS recruitment is open for 331 vacancies. A total of 5,889 candidates have qualified in the written examination. 
• Qualified candidates will now move forward for the next round of selection.
• UPPSC RO/ARO examination is declared cancelled due to paper leak. The commission will conduct the re-examination 6 months later. Official dates will be announced on the website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
• The UPPSC prelims for RO/ARO posts was held on February 11, 2024. 

The result for UPPSC PCS exam was declared on the official website on January 23, 2024. The result can be downloaded from uppsc.up.nic.in. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released 220 vacancies for the UPPSC PCS 2024 exam.

Candidates who are successful in clearing the UPPSC PCS prelims will move forward with the UPPSC Mains examination. After that, the candidate has to appear in the interview round as well. 

UPPSC Exam 2024

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the UPPSC exam, a state-level examination to select applicants for various positions within the state government of Uttar Pradesh. The examination is divided into three parts of the selection process, which are: the preliminary exam, the mains exam, and the interview.

The UPPSC registration will go on from January 1, 2024 to February 2, 2024. As discussed above, the exam is conducted in three rounds and those whole clear UPPSC prelims are then qualified for further rounds. Although, the final merit list will be prepared according to the candidate’s performance in the mains exam and the interview round. 

The Prelims exam of UPPSC includes two papers which are the General Studies paper 1 and a UPPSC CSAT paper. Whereas, the mains test is more challenging as it includes a total of 8 papers comprising General Hindi, General English, and General Studies papers. This round also used to have tests on optional subjects but from 2023 onwards, the papers on the optional subject have been replaced by additional general studies exams. UPPSC Eligibility 2024

It is crucial to understand the eligibility requirements established by the exam conducting body. The age, education, nationality, and physical standards of candidates will all be taken into consideration when determining eligibility for the UPPSC exam. UPPSC Registration 2024

The UPPSC PCS Registration was opened on January 1, 2024. Candidates can apply for the PCS exam till February 2, 2024. The registration is conducted on the commision's official website, uppsc.up.nic.in. Further, the UPPSC application form is required to be filled out by enrolled applicants, who are required to submit scanned copies of their identification documents with their signatures and photos, and personal and educational information.

Following are the steps to complete the UPPSC registration-

Step 1: The first step would require candidates to go to the official website of UPPSC

Step 2: The application link will be available on the homepage and it must be selected

Step 3: Candidates will be asked to specify if they have previously filled out an application form.  If so, the information from the prior year's form will be recovered. If the form has not been filled up previously then candidates will need to fill it up again.

Step 4: If filling out the form for the first time, applicants must submit the required information such as personal and educational details.

Step 5: Next, students will be asked to submit the required documents which are updated and valid.

Step 6: Candidates must verify the accuracy of the information they have submitted. They must then proceed to pay the registration fee.

Step 7: Candidates must write down their registration number and password for future use after making the payment.

UPPSC Fee 2024

UPPSC Admit Card 2024

The UPPSC admit card is expected to be released soon after the registration is completed. An admit card, often referred to as a hall ticket, is required for candidates sitting the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) exams. The UPPSC admit card must be brought to the exam centre by the candidates. Without this crucial document, students will not be allowed to enter the test centre. The information on the admit card must be accurate and match the information provided during registration. Applicants are invited to the UPPSC Viva/Personality Test/Interview if they clear the Mains round of the PCS Exam.
