UKSSSC Pattern 2023: Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, popularly known as UKSSSC, will release the detailed exam pattern and syllabus along with the official notification. The notification will be made available on the official website and interested applicants can check it out for details about the exam. The exam date for the year 2023 is yet to be announced, and candidates should keep checking the official website for any updates. Even though the exam pattern has not been declared yet, it will be more or less the same as the previous year’s pattern. The exam will be conducted for different government posts in the state of Uttarakhand such as the Telephone Operator, Exam Controller, Junior Engineer, Accountant, Secretary, Security Guard, Office Assistant, and various other posts. The pattern will be different for every registered post.

UKSSSC Pattern 2023 Highlights

  • Registered and eligible candidates will only have to appear for one written exam, and that is the only stage in UKSSSC wherein the students will need to perform well to clear the exam
  • Those who have successfully qualified for the exam must arrive for the document verification process. According to how well each candidate performed on the written test, a final merit list will be created
  • Questions on Hindi, general knowledge, and general studies are asked in the UKSSSC Graduate Level exam. Additionally, the exam typically lasts two hours and consists of 100 questions worth 100 marks- 0.25 marks will be cut for every wrong answer
  • The written paper will include objective-type questions that students will need to attempt in order to get the desired result
  • Although the general paper is similar, the exam pattern and syllabus may change regarding different posts such as Junior Engineer among others

Exam Pattern for UKSSSC Junior Engineer Post

Some posts like the Junior Engineer requires applicants to have knowledge of certain subjects. For instance, students should have the technical knowledge and a diploma in Civil Engineering to get the Junior Engineer post. The JE test will also include 100 questions and candidates will get 2 hours to finish the exam. For the written test, candidates must score a minimum of 45% for the general category, and 35% for SC/ST candidates. Moreover, there will be negative markings, meaning that 0.25 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Check the table below for a better understanding-

Will there be an interview round in UKSSSC?

No, the UKSSSC Recruitment does not involve an interview process. Once the official notification is released, this article will be updated with any modifications to the 2023 selection procedure.  For now, the exam only has one stage which is the written test.

What is the UKSSSC exam duration?

The exam will need to be completed in 2 hours. Students will not get extra time to finish the paper hence managing time is crucial while attempting the test.

What is the marking scheme of UKSSSC?

For every correct answer, students would be rewarded +1 mark whereas, for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. That is why it is advised that applicants leave the question instead of attempting it if they do not know the answer to it.

What are the UKSSSC maximum marks a student can get?

The paper will have a maximum mark of 100. Students will be rewarded with a +1 mark for every correct answer hence there will be a total of 100 questions in the paper.

How many marks will ST/SC need to secure to clear UKSSSC?

Candidates belonging to the general category must acquire a minimum overall score of 45% and a minimum score of 35% if they belong to the ST/SC category.
