PPSC Exam 2023: Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) conducts recruitment exams to various posts such as Assistant Architect, Assistant Town Planner, Register A-II, and Register C posts. The PPSC joint competitive examinations for this year will be held in the months of July, August, and September 2023. Besides this, the Punjab State Civil Services Examination is conducted every year for recruitment to several positions under PPSC.
The PPSC application process for the posts of Assistant Town Planner and Assistant Architect concluded on August 30, 2022. The application process for Register A-II and Register C posts closed on January 12, 2023. The online application forms are released on the official website of the Punjab Public Service Commission. After completing the application process, candidates can download the admit cards from the official website of PPSC.
Candidates can check the results of the PPSC examinations by accessing the merit list of shortlisted candidates from the PPSC official website. Before releasing the merit list, PPSC also releases the answer key of the examination. Every post has its own selection criteria and eligibility, and candidates are advised to check if they are eligible to appear for the PPSC examination.
PPSC Exam 2023
Punjab Public Service Commission issues the admit cards for the examination on its official website. Candidates can download the hall tickets by entering their registration number and password by visiting the ‘download admit card’ page of the PPSC official website.
Before applying for any of the PPSC recruitment examinations, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria that they need to fulfill to take the exam. Most PPSC examinations have minimum educational requirements, age limit, and other criteria.
Punjab State Civil Services Examination
Punjab Public Service Commission(PPSC) conducts the Punjab State Civil Services Examination. Candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university and have cleared the Class 10 examination with Punjabi as an optional/compulsory subject are eligible to take the Punjab Civil Services Examination.
The Punjab Civil Services Examination is conducted in two phases: preliminary examination and main examination. The preliminary exam consists of General Studies and CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The preliminary examination is a screening test for shortlisting candidates who will be eligible to appear for the main examination. The preliminary exam consists of multiple-choice questions and there is no negative marking.
The main examination consists of language papers (Punjabi and English), Essay, and General Studies papers. All the papers in the main examination are descriptive in nature and there are 7 compulsory papers. Candidates who secure the required percentage of marks in the main examination are eligible to appear for the interview. Punjab Civil Services aspirants must obtain at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the aggregate of all subjects and a minimum of 33% marks in each subject in the main examination to qualify for the interview round.

Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) releases the syllabus and exam pattern for the Joint Competitive Examination for posts such as Assistant Town Planner, Assistant Architect, Register A-II and Register C, District Defence Services Welfare Officer.
