MPSC Eligibility Criteria 2025: Nationality 

The first factor in MPSC eligibility is nationality. In order to appear for the exam, candidates must be a citizen of India. Applicants must also possess a Maharashtra domicile certificate in order to be considered eligible.

MPSC eligibility for age limit depends on minimum and maximum age limit. Recently, MPSC has revised the upper age limit for various groups that fall under Group B and C. Further, candidates can take a look at the following MPSC age limit criteria down below:

  • The minimum age limit for a candidate appearing for the exam should be 19 years 
  • On the other hand, the maximum age limit for candidates appearing for the MPSC exam is set as 38 years (As on March 01, 2020). 

NOTE: The above-mentioned age limit is for those candidates who belong to the general category. Also, Candidates must be at least 19 years of age at the time of appearing for the MPSC state exam (on or before March 1 of the year of the MPSC preliminary exam).

NOTE: As per Government regulations, reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation.

  • For MPSC Exams, the minimum age limit for backward classes is 19 years whereas the maximum age limit is 43 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen must have a minimum age limit of 19 to take the MPSC Exam
  • For eligible players, the minimum age limit is 19 years; for aspirants in the General category and those in the Backward category, the maximum age limit is 43 years. 

Candidates also have to look for the MPSC educational qualification before applying for the examination. The given below are the educational eligibility criteria for MPSC exams. 

  • Candidates must have a degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. 
  • Those candidates who are in their final year of examination are also eligible to apply for the examination
  • Candidate must be fluent in Marathi.

NOTE: Since the MPSC exam is held for various posts, the eligibility criteria for each post is different. Hence, candidates should check their eligibility as per the post the candidate has applied. 

While the candidate is applying for any MPSC posts, they are required to check as well as clear the MPSC physical requirements they are laid by the commission. If a candidate wants to apply for the post of ACP or DSP, they can check the below-mentioned physical measurements. 

  • Male candidates applying for the DSP post should have a minimum height of 165 cm 
  • On the other hand, female candidates should have a minimum height of 157 cm who are applying for the post.
