GPSC Cut-Off 2023: Gujarat Public Service Commission releases the GPSC cut-off. GPSC's official portal provides candidates with the opportunity to download the cut-off. Further, GPSC cut-offs are published within the result declaration document. The cut-off is declared in the form of a PDF.  Since the GPSC exam has three stages, the results and cut-off are also released stage-wise. The three stages of the GPSC exam are Prelims, Mains and Interview. Candidates are required to clear all three stages in order to get recruited for the post for which they have applied. 

Candidates must know that the GPSC cut-off is released category-wise which means that the cut-off for each category is different compared to one others. Candidates are advised to check only those cut-offs for the category to which they belong. The GPSC cut-off also includes the total list of candidates who have qualified for the examination. The list of candidates is also released category-wise. 

Meanwhile, the GPSC released the GPSC CCE prelims results on April 18, 2023. The exam was conducted on January 8, 2023. Further, the result document also consisted of the GPSC cut-off for prelims. In accordance with GPSC's results, a total of 524 general male applicants qualified for the exam, while a total of 246 general female candidates cleared the examination as well.

The exam conducting body does not release a specific cut-off related document, but the cut-off is released in the result declaration document. Candidates must know that since there are several posts for which the GPSC exam is conducted, the cut-off for all those posts will vary in number. Candidates must note that after the results are released the exam conducting body also releases the merit list. However, the scores secured by the candidate in the prelims stage will not be counted in the merit list. 

The merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidate in the mains as well as in the interview round. Along with the test results, the GPSC Cutoff will be made available on the official exam website. The cutoff score is what a candidate must achieve in order to be qualified to move on to the next stage of selection.

Steps to Download GPSC Cut-Off 

Once the exam conducting body has released the results for a specific stage of the GPSC examination, the cut-off for the stage is also released. Candidates can download the GPSC cut-off by following the given steps. 

Step 1: Candidates can visit the official website of GPSC 

Step 2: On the homepage, candidates will find the link to ‘advertisement’ – click on that 

Step 3: Now, a new page will open which will consist of a link to ‘GPSC prelims result’ – click on that 

Step 4: Once clicked, a new result page will appear which will consist of the result of the prelim stage along with the cut-off

NOTE: Download the GPSC results document and keep the document for future reference. 

Factors Determining the GPSC Cut-Off

A bunch of factors are responsible for determining the GPSC cut-off. Due to these factors, the GPSC cut-off may differ. Candidates can take a look at the following factors which are responsible for making changes in the GPSC cut-off. 

  • Total number of aspirants who appeared for the GPSC prelims exam 
  • Difficulty level of the exam
  • Scores that the candidates have obtained in the exam 
  • Different Categories (Number of candidates increased or decreased) 

GPSC Cut-Off for Prelims Exam 

GPSC released the GPSC prelim results on the official website. Along with the result, the exam conducting body also released the cut-off for candidates. The cut-off for the GPSC prelims cut-off was included in the same result documentation. Further, as per the official notification, a total of 3806 candidates qualified for the examination and will now be eligible to appear for the GPSC mains exam.

GPSC Merit List 2022

After releasing the results, the GPSC also releases a merit list. However, candidates must know that the merit list is released based on the marks scored by the candidate in the mains as well as the interview round. The prelims results are not counted. The GPSC prelims exam is an objective exam where the mains are descriptive in nature. During the interview round, the candidates are judged based on his or her personality, their knowledge about the day-to-day activities, current affairs, general knowledge and others.
