Bihar Police Constable Vacancy 2024: Check Total Vacancies & Selection Process

Bihar Police Constable Vacancy 2024: The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has released the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2024 notification for a total of  21,391 vacancies. The selection process for the post of Bihar Police Constable can be divided into 4 stages: written test, physical examination, document verification & medical examination. Candidates who successively clear all the 4 stages will be eligible for Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2024. The first stage of the examination, that is, the written test is scheduled to be conducted on October 1, 7, and 15, 2024. 

Candidates who clear the written test by scoring 30% marks or more will be eligible to appear in the second stage, that is, the physical fitness test. The physical fitness test carries 100 marks and is further divided into 3 sub-stages: long jump, shotput & running. Candidates must pass each of these events separately in order to make it to the final merit list. It must be noted the final merit list for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2023 exam will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the physical fitness test. The marks scored by the candidates in the written test will not be considered for the preparation of the final merit list. 

Once the final Bihar Police Constable merit list is out, selected candidates will have to appear for the document verification process. This will be followed by the medical examination of the selected candidates. Only the candidates who clear the medical examination round will be allotted the Constable posts under the Bihar Police Department.

Bihar Police Constable Vacancy 2024: Selection Process

The Bihar Police Constable 2024 selection process can be divided into the following 4 phases:

Stage 1: Written Examination

• The written exam is the first stage of the selection process and carries 100 marks.
• It is a qualifying exam, which means that the candidates’ scores will not be used to determine their final ranking.
• However, candidates must score at least 30% to pass the exam and qualify for the next stage, which is the physical examination.

Stage 2: Physical Examination

• The physical examination will also carry 100 marks and will consist of three sub-stages: running, shot put, and long jump.
• Candidates must pass each of the physical tests individually to be eligible for the next stage of the recruitment process.
• The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the physical examination.

Stage 3: Document Verification

• Candidates whose names are included in the final merit list will be then called for the document verification process.
• Candidates must get their documents verified within the stipulated time in order to be eligible for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2024.

Stage 4: Medical Examination

• Candidates who clear the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2023 exam and also successfully complete the document verification process will then have to appear for the medical examination.
• Candidates must clear the medical examination round in order to be recruited as Bihar Police Constables.  

Bihar Police Constable Salary 2024

The salary of a Bihar Police Constable is determined by the 7th Pay Commission and falls under Pay Level 3. The basic monthly salary ranges from INR 21,700/- to INR 69,100/-.

In addition to the basic pay, Bihar Police Constables also receive a number of allowances, such as Dearness Allowance (DA), Uniform Allowance, Medical Aid, Vehicle Allowance, and Ration Money Allowance.
