NEET Result 2024 will be released on the official website -- ntaresults.nic.in. Candidates must be aware that the NTA will release the NEET result 2024 in the form of a scorecard. Apart from the results, NTA will also release the NEET topper names and cut-off list. The merit list will consist of the NEET AIR (All India Rank) of those candidates who have topped the examination. 

The NEET exam 2024 was conducted on May 5, 2024. The result for the exam will be announced online, on June 14, 2024. Apart from the score, there is other information mentioned in the NEET scorecard including the student's personal information, the marks they have scored in each subject of the NEET exam 2024, AIR rank and more. 

The NEET qualification certificate of the candidate will remain valid for only one year. Prior to the result, NTA also releases the provisional NEET UG answer key at the official website. Through the provisional answer key, candidates can raise objections to questions they think that the answer could be something else than what the NTA has provided.

Once NTA releases the NEET results 2024, candidates can download the scorecard by following these simple steps. 

Step 1: Visit the official website of the NTA 

Step 2: On the homepage, students will find the link that reads 'View Results' -- Click on that 

Step 3: Now, the candidate needs to enter their application number, password or date of birth, and security pin 

Step 4: The NEET 2024 scorecard will be displayed on the screen 

Step 5: Click on download

The given below formula is used to calculate the NEET percentile score:

 NEET Percentile =  100 x Number of aspirants with his or her raw score equal to/ less than the aspirants

NEET Result and Merit List 2024

The NTA will release the merit list for candidates based on their result for NEET UG exam. The exam conducting authority releases multiple results on the basis of the category of the candidate. The NTA also releases an overall merit list for candidates which contains the details of all the students who have cleared the examination. Further, the NTA shares the same merit list with the different bodies responsible for the counselling process.  On the basis of this merit list, the seat allotment list is prepared by MCC and various counselling authorities.  

Different Types of Merit Lists 

There are 3 types of merit lists issued by the exam regulatory body. Take a look at different merit lists here : 

  1. Overall Merit List: This type of merit list includes the name of the candidate along with their ranks. The merit list is prepared by the NTA and this is the final merit list for all the candidates. Further, the NTA will forward these merit lists to all counselling bodies, both national and state.
  2. 15 per cent AQI merit list: Candidates who have qualified for the NEET medical entrance exam will find their names on this type of merit list. The Medical Counselling Committee is the body that prepares the merit list. 
  3. State Quota merit list: This type of merit list is prepared by each state for 85 per cent of state quota seats. Only those candidates can find their name on this merit list who have qualified for NEET UG and registered for the counselling of that respective state.
