The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET result 2025 by June 14, 2025. Once the confirmed date is announced, it will be updated in this article. The exam was conducted on May 4, 2025, in a single shift.

The National Testing Agency will activate the link to download NEET UG Results 2025 on the official website. The NEET Result 2025 will be declared in the form of a scorecard, which will be accessible via the NEET Result 2025 link. Moreover, the exam conducting body will also publish the merit list of successful candidates in order of All India Rank (AIR).

NEET Result 2025: How to Check?

NTA wil release the NEET results 2025 in online mode. Once released, candidates will be able to download the scorecard by following these simple steps. 

Step 1: Visit the official website for NEET UG - neet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the link for NEET UG result 2025 on the home page 

Step 3: Candidates must now enter their application number, date of birth, and security pin 

Step 4: The NEET 2025 scorecard will be displayed on the screen 

Step 5: Check the details and download the scorecard

NOTE: Download the document and print it out for future reference.

After downloading the result, the following information will be available on the scorecard of NEET exam:

• Overall Score of a candidate 
• Subject-wise score
• All India Rank of candidate 
• Application number of candidate 
• Aspirant’s qualifying status
• NEET Cut-Off Score  
• Candidate’s percentile score

Candidates are required to check each detail mentioned carefully. In case of any discrepancy found, candidates must report it to the authorities immediately. 

NEET Result 2025: How is the result calculated?

The given below formula is used to calculate the NEET percentile score:

 NEET Percentile =  100 x Number of aspirants with his or her raw score equal to/ less than the aspirants

                                       Total number of aspirants who appeared for the exam

NEET UG Result 2025 - Use of NEET scorecard by other Organizations

• The NEET 2025 results may be used by Central and State Government bodies as per their eligibility criteria, norms, and applicable regulations.
• The result data will be utilized for admissions to B.Sc. (H) Nursing programs, adhering to their respective eligibility criteria and guidelines.
• NEET results will be used for admissions under the 15% quota of the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) in recognised Veterinary Colleges. The VCI must approach the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW to access the result data.
• Aspirants seeking admission to the B.Sc. Nursing program at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals must qualify NEET. 
• NEET scores will be used for shortlisting candidates for the four-year B.Sc. Nursing course.

NEET Result and Merit List 2025

The NTA will release the merit list for candidates based on their result for NEET UG exam. The NTA also releases an overall merit list for candidates which contains the details of all the students who have cleared the examination. Further, NTA shares the same merit list with the different bodies responsible for the counselling process. On the basis of this merit list, the seat allotment list is prepared by MCC and various counselling authorities.  

Types of NEET Merit Lists 

There are 3 types of merit lists issued by the exam regulatory body. Take a look at different merit lists here : 

1. Overall Merit List: This type of merit list includes the name of the candidate along with their ranks. The merit list is prepared by the NTA and this is the final merit list for all the candidates. Further, the NTA will forward these merit lists to all counselling bodies, both national and state.
2. 15 per cent AQI merit list: Candidates who have qualified for the NEET medical entrance exam will find their names on this type of merit list. The Medical Counselling Committee is the body that prepares the merit list. 
3. State Quota merit list: This type of merit list is prepared by each state for 85 per cent of state quota seats. Only those candidates can find their name on this merit list who have qualified for NEET UG and registered for the counselling of that respective state.
