What is NEET UG Result and Merit List

Different Types of Merit Lists

- Overall Merit List: This type of merit list includes the name of the candidate along with their ranks. The merit list is prepared by the NTA and this is the final merit list for all the candidates. Further, the NTA will forward these merit lists to all counselling bodies, both national and state.
- 15 per cent AQI merit list: Candidates who have qualified for the NEET medical entrance exam will find their names on this type of merit list. The Medical Counselling Committee is the body that prepares the merit list.
- State Quota merit list: This type of merit list is prepared by each state for 85 per cent of state quota seats. Only those candidates can find their name on this merit list who have qualified for NEET result 2022 and registered for the counselling of that respective state.
