SSNCE Chennai Admission 2024: Eligibility, Selection & Exam Dates

Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai (SSNCE Chennai) through its 12 departments provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, management, and other disciplines. To secure admission to different courses at SSNCE Chennai, seats will be assigned to applicants based on both entrance and merit-based criteria. SSNCE Chennai admits students through TNEA counseling following Anna University guidelines (65%) and merit-based admissions (35%). The primary courses offered are B.Tech and M.Tech. 

Admission to SSNCE Chennai's B.Tech. program requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) degree. For 65% of the seats, candidate selection is conducted through counseling as per Anna University, while the remaining 35% are filled through the management quota. The tuition fee for SSNCE Chennai's B.Tech. program ranges from INR 1.2 to 2 lakhs. SSNCE Chennai provides a four-year undergraduate degree in fields such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and more. Admission to SSNCE Chennai is based on merit and through TNEA Counseling as per Anna University guidelines. The selection process allocates 65% of the seats through counseling in accordance with Anna University, while the remaining 35% is filled through the management quota.

Individuals from Tamil Nadu who have finished their higher secondary education (Class 12) are eligible to apply for the exam. However, candidates who completed their higher secondary education (Class 12) outside of Tamil Nadu can still participate in the examination, but they are required to furnish evidence of nativity. SSNCE Chennai provides a two-year master's degree in disciplines such as Information Technology, Medical Electronics, VLSI Design, Environmental Science and Technology, and more. Admission to the MTech program at SSNCE Chennai requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates holding a valid GATE score will receive preference during the admission process.
