NIT Uttarakhand Admissions 2025: The National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand admissions are subject to desired marks obtained by candidates in various national level examinations like JEE Main, GATE, and NET which is further followed by common seat allocation method governed by diverse authorities for granting final admission. JoSAA has released five rounds of its seat allotment lists for admission across various B.Tech specialisations offered at NIT Uttarakhand.
Admission to B.Tech the degree programme at NIT Uttarakhand is done through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Admissions are subject to the All India Rank (AIR) prepared by JoSAA considering the score in JEE (Main).The admission to M. Tech. degree programmes at NIT Uttarakhand are done through Centralized counselling for M. Tech. / M. Arch. / M.Plan. / M. Des. Admissions (CCMT) and admissions are conducted on the basis of valid GATE scores. For admission in the Self Sponsored Category, candidates are shortlisted for a written test on the basis of required qualifications, and the qualified candidates are called for personal interview for final selection.
For admission to the Ph.D. program, candidates are shortlisted for written test on the basis of required qualifications (GATE/NET/SET qualified). The qualified candidates are called for personal interviews. After qualifying, the candidates are provisionally admitted for Ph.D. in the Institute. Their registration for the Ph.D. program at the Institute is confirmed only after successful completion of PreRegistration viva-voce. The Institute scholars are awarded fellowships as per norms. To avail of the fellowship, the candidate should be GATE/NET/SET qualified, whereas part-time Candidates are NOT eligible for fellowship.
Multiple specialisations are made available by the institution across its undergraduate, Postgraduate, and doctorate-level courses. NIT Uttarakhand fees for B.Tech and M.Tech for the first semester are INR 99,580 and INR 72,080 respectively.
