Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani: IIIT Kalyani an ‘Institute of National Importance’ was founded in 2014 under the Public Private Partnership Scheme of the Ministry of Education after signing an MoU between the Government of India, Government of West Bengal and Industry partner Coal India Ltd. and Rolta Foundation. 

The IIIT Kalyani is presently functioning from a temporary campus at Webel IT Park, Kalyani, West Bengal. Although the permanent campus is being constructed on the 50-acre land provided by the Government of West Bengal. 

IIIT Klayani provides courses related to the field of Information Technology like other IIITs, meeting the increased demand of IT professionals in the country. Undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral programs in programs like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering.
