HPBOSE 12th Exam 2026: Dates, Admit Card, Pattern, Syllabus, Question Papers

HPBOSE 12th Exam 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) conducts the HPBOSE class 12th board exams in pen-paper mode. The Himachal Pradesh board exams will be conducted from March 3 to April 1, 2026. Students can download their HPBOSE 12th exam 2026 date sheet by visiting the board's official website, hpbose.org. The HPBOSE 12th practical exams are scheduled from February 20 to 28, 2026.

Upon the conclusion of the board exams, HPBOSE 12th result is released in online mode. The HPBOSE Plus Two results will be out in May 2026. The official confirmation regarding result date and time will be made by the Himachal Pradesh board. Students will be able to check and download their results through the official website. To download the marksheet, students need to enter their roll numbers in the result login window at hpbose.org. Last year, the HPBOSE class 12 exams were conducted from from March 4 to March 29, 2025 and the results were announced on May 17, 2025.

HPBOSE 12th Exam 2026

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education conducts the theory examination for a duration of 3 hours. The HPBOSE Class 12 question paper consists of objective-type questions, very short answer-type questions, short answer-type questions, and long answer-type questions. Candidates need to score at least 33% in the HPBOSE 12th board examination to clear it. Students who are unable to clear the examination can appear for the supplementary exams.

HPBOSE 12th Admit Card 2026

The admit card is an essential document that needs to be carried to the examination center on the day of the examination. School authorities will manage the download of HPBOSE 12th admit card from the official website and distribute them to their respective students. Without the admit card, the candidates will be denied entry to the examination centre and will not be permitted to appear for the examination. Students need to collect their hall tickets from their respective schools. The admit card consists of several important details such as the examination schedule, examination centre, name and roll number of the student, and essential instructions.

HPBOSE 12th Exam Pattern 2026

HP Board exams are conducted for a total of 100 marks. The duration of the written examination is 3 hours. Himachal Pradesh Board releases the HPBOSE 12th exam pattern on its official website. The syllabus and exam pattern are provided in combined form in PDF format on the HPBOSE official website. The exam pattern gives an outline of the chapter-wise marks weightage, marking scheme according to the question type, total marks, and exam duration.

HPBOSE 12th Model Test Papers 2026

The HP board releases the HPBOSE 12th model test papers on its official website. These model test papers, designed to enhance exam preparedness and increase student readiness for the actual exams, serve as valuable practice tools for students.

HPBOSE 12th Result 2026

The results of HPBOSE Class 12th exams will be declared on the official website of HPBOSE. The marksheet released online will consist of subject-wise marks scored in theory and practical exams, total marks obtained, result status and student-related information such as name, roll number and date of birth. 

Students who will not be satisfied with their HPBOSE class 12 results can apply for re-checking or re-evaluation of their answer scripts. Candidates need to apply for re-checking within 15 days of result announcement and for re-evaluation within 30 days from the date of result declaration. There is an application fee of INR 400 for re-checking and INR 500 for re-evaluation. If there is an increase in marks after re-checking, the marksheet will be revised accordingly. If there is a decrease in marks after re-checking, no changes will be made in the previously obtained scores.

HPBOSE Class 12 Passing Score

Candidates need a minimum of 33% marks to clear the HPBOSE Class 12 examination. Students who are unable to clear the exams can appear for the compartment examination. The compartment examination will be tentatively held in July 2026.
