UPSC CMS 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Combined Medical Services exam annually in offline mode. The Commission releases examination calendar for CMS exam every year at upsc.gov.in. The candidates who qualify in UPSC CMS prelims will then be eligible to appear for the personality test.

Latest Updates:

• The application window for UPSC CMS 2025 session will remain open till March 11, 2025 at upsc.gov.in. 
• UPSC CMS exam 2025 will be conducted on July 20, 2025. 

Candidates who wish to appear for UPSC CMS examination are required to register online for the same. The registration process for UPSC CMS 2025 is done at upsc.gov.in. UPSC CMS Appointment of Candidates

As per the result for UPSC CMS 2024 exam held on July 14 followed by personality tests held from September to November, the UPSC has released the list of recommended candidates for appointment under CMS category 1 and 2. For category 1, a total of 163 candidates have been shortlisted. Meanwhile, for category 2, a total of 664 candidates have been shortlisted. Check notice released by UPSC below:

UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates interested in appearing for the examination are advised to check the UPSC CMS Eligibility requirements in order to register online. The eligibility criteria for CMS exam is released inside the UPSC CMS official exam notification. Candidates can take a look at the following eligibility factors below.

UPSC CMS Application Form 2025

UPSC CMS application form will be released online at upsc.gov.in. Candidates can expect the registration window to open soon after the exam notification is released. As per the schedule released by the Commission, UPSC CMS notification will be issued on February 19, 2025. To appear for the CMS examination, candidates must fulfill all the required eligibility criteria. If a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility requirements, their application will be rejected. 

UPSC CMS Admit Card 2025

Once the application window is closed, registered candidates will be able to download their admit card for UPSC CMS exam from the official website. To access their hall tickets, candidates will be required to login using their valid credentials. Further, candidates are required to keep their UPSC CMS admit card with them while entering the examination hall. If a candidate fails to bring their hall ticket, then he or she will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. 

UPSC CMS Syllabus 2025

The syllabus for UPSC CMS exam is released by the UPSC. The syllabus is released along with the official exam notification every year. The UPSC CMS Syllabus consists of two parts; the first part of the syllabus is the UPSC CMS written test, whereas the second part is the Personality test.

UPSC CMS Exam Pattern 2025

Apart from the syllabus, candidates should also study the UPSC CMS exam pattern. The exam pattern is released along with the official notification for UPSC CMS exam. The exam pattern includes details about negative marking, exam duration and weightage of subjects. Check major highlights for UPSC CMS exam pattern below: 

• UPSC CMS exam has two parts - written exam and a personality test 
• The exam consists of UPSC CMS negative marking. This means that 1.3 marks will be deducted for each wrong questions
• UPSC CMS time duration for part 1 - Paper 1 and 2 is 2 hours 
• Candidates who will clear the UPSC CMS written exam will be eligible to appear for the interview stage.
• The UPSC CMS written exam for both the paper will take place in MCQ format and the question paper will be set in English language only. 

UPSC CMS Result 2025

UPSC CMS result is released on the official webiste. UPSC will release the result in PDF format, which will contain the roll numbers and marks of the shortlisted candidates. Those candidates who will qualify in the UPSC CMS written test will then be eligible to appear for the interview round. UPSC CMS Final Result will be declared after the successful conduction of the interview round.

Since UPSC CMS written test has two papers, candidates have to qualify in both papers in order to be eligible to appear for the next exam stages. The Commission follows a tie-breaking policy while preparing the result for each candidate. In case two or more candidates score the same marks, they will have to go through the tie-breaking policy and those students will have first preference who are elder than the other candidate. 

UPSC CMS Cut Off 2025

The cut off for CMS exam is released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The cutoff will be released after the declaration of UPSC CMS result. The UPSC CMS Cut Off refers to the minimum qualifying scores that candidates need in order to qualify the examination.
