The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024 from September 20-29, 2024. The examination will take place over a week testing the candidates through 9 papers. UPSC CSE consists of two stages- Prelims and Mains. Candidates who qualify in both the phases are eligible for the last round, the interview. UPSC will release a CSE Mains Roll number wise PDF for the shortlisted candidates. This PDF will be released first and will be followed by a list of names of selected candidates shortly after. Aspirants can expect the UPSC Mains result to be declared by December 2024 on UPSC’s official website, upsc.gov.in.

UPSC Mains Result 2024: Steps to Download

Candidates can visit the UPSC website, upsc.gov.in in order to download the CSE Mains Result. Here are the steps to download the UPSC Mains Result 2024.

Visit the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
Click on the section named “Written results” on the homepage.
Within this section, find the link titled “Civil Services Mains (Written) Results 2024“ and click on it.
Candidates will be redirected to a page of the UPSC Mains 2024 results.
Select the option to download the PDF document containing the list of candidates who have successfully cleared the UPSC Mains 2024 examination and find your roll number by using the ‘Ctrl+F’ shortcut.
It is advised that qualified candidates save the downloaded PDF file for future reference.

UPSC CSE Marksheet 2024

UPSC Mains Marksheet 2024 is typically released within 15 days of the final result. The mark sheet contains the marks scored by candidates in a total of 7 papers of the UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination. UPSC mains scorecard is not sent to candidates and has to be downloaded.

The UPSC Mains marksheet is of two types:

UPSC Mains Marksheet for Candidates who have not qualified Mains: It will have scores of not qualified candidates in all 9 written exams. However, scores of Paper A and B will not be counted in total marks.
UPSC Mains Marksheet for who have qualified Mains: It will have scores of candidates who were selected for the interview stage having scores of 7 papers and the interview stage.

UPSC CSE Mains 2024: What after the Result?

After the UPSC Mains Result 2024 is declared, qualified candidates must fill a Detailed Application Form (DAF) II in order to indicate their preference for IAS, IFS, IPS and other services. After filling the form, candidates are issued e-admit cards or call letters for the Interview which is also known as the Personality Test.
