UPSC CMS Eligibility: Nationality
There are a bunch of factors which are included in the UPSC CMS 2023 eligibility criteria for nationality. Candidates can take a look at the following UPSC CMS nationality eligibility criteria.

A) A candidate must be a citizen of India
OR
B) A subject of Nepal
OR
C) A subject of Bhutan
OR
D) Candidates must be Tibetan refugees who entered India before the 1st of January 1962 to permanently settle in the country
OR
E) Candidates who are Indian original and migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or
East African Countries of Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire and Vietnam or from Ethiopia to settle permanently in India.

- However, candidates who fall under the categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) should be those persons who have received a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.
- If in case a candidate's certificate of eligibility is necessary will though be able to appear for the exam. However, the offer of appointment will only be provided to the candidates after he or she receives the eligibility certificate from the Government of India.

- Candidates applying for the examination should not have attained the age of 32 years as of August 01, 2023. This means that the candidate's DOB should be no earlier than August 02, 1989.
- Central Health Services posts in the Junior Time Scale must have an upper age limit not exceeding 35 (thirty-five years) at the time of application.

NOTE 1: Candidates will be eligible to sit for the examination if otherwise eligible, however, their admission can be cancelled anytime if they fail to produce proof of qualifying the written and practical part of the final M.B.B.S. Further, Candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination will be required to submit a detailed application to the Commission.
NOTE 2: A candidate whose complete compulsory rotating internship is yet to be completed will be educationally eligible for admission to the exam. However, the selection process will only be completed when he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.
