VELS University Chennai was established in 1992 and was granted deemed University status by UGC in 2008. The university offers courses in science, pharmacy, technology, law, agriculture, life sciences, research studies, languages, etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Completed the 10+2 examination.

• Subjects in 10+2 can include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship, or Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering).

• Must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the aforementioned subjects (40% for reserved category candidates) when the marks in these subjects are combined.

If you've completed a 3-year Diploma examination:

• You should have achieved at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).

• Admission depends on available openings in the First Year, if no openings for lateral entry.
