Mizoram University: Mizoram University is one of the central Universities situated in the Northeastern part of the Country. It was Established in 2001, under the University Grants Commission(UGC), Government of India. 

Mizoram University received an 'A' grade accreditation from NAAC in 2014 and 2019, along with ISO Certification in 2018. It has consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in India according to NIRF rankings from 2016 to 2023. In the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022, the university achieved the top position in the North-East Region of India. Additionally, it was recognized as the leading central university in the North East by securing the 13th position in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2023 for Top 20 Central Universities.

The Mizoram University is located in the Capital city of Aizwal, spread over an area of almost 900 acres, Mizoram University campus is equipped with facilities for both students and faculty, The lush green campus between the hills, away from the pollution of cities makes Mizoram University campus one of the most beautiful Central University.

Mizoram University offers multiple courses through its undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD degrees. The University comprises 39 active academic departments that offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs across 10 Schools of Study. Additionally, it has 40 affiliated colleges and one constituent college. In accordance with NEP 2020, Mizoram University is advancing towards the implementation of programs that promote broad-based, multidisciplinary, and holistic education across various levels of undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

The University has an active placement cell, functioning to minimize the gap between recruiters and students and helping students get to their dream jobs. The Career Counseling and Placement Cell was established in July 2012 to offer career guidance to students and to facilitate optimal placement opportunities. In 2023 Mizoram University successfully placed 10 students from the 4 year undergraduate batch with a median CTC of INR 5.25 LPA.

Mizoram University Admission 2025

Mizoram University offers a wide range of courses across multiple disciplines, admissions in these courses are based on the CUET examination and MZU Entrance examination.

30% of seats will be filled through CUET and the remaining 70% through the MZU entrance examination results for undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.

For PhD admissions, Mizoram University accepts NET results and also conducts its own MZU PhD entrance test, followed by an interview and presentation. 

Mizoram University is currently accepting applications for an online MBA program; eligible candidates can register themselves through the MZU Online courses portal.

A central placement cell was established in 2012 to provide optimal placement opportunities for current students and alumni of Mizoram University. The Career Counseling and Placement Cell offers comprehensive assistance and coaching to students for industrial training, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers.

It offers detailed competitive and industrial career opportunities, keeping students informed about available job openings in the government sector and off-campus drives. The placement cell at MZU provides valuable advice on interview techniques and job skills through pre-placement training, workshops, and seminars.
