Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), earlier referred to as Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering and ultimately Kalasalingam University, is a Deemed-to-be University situated in Krishnankoil close to Rajapalaiyam, in Tamil Nadu. This university was established in 1984 by Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities, which has received its Deemed-to-be University status.

KARE is a recognized UGC institution and has been accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade along with approvals from AICTE, NBA, and ABET, which reflect that KARE is committed to high-quality engineering and technical education. KARE has maintained its position at among the best institutes of higher education in India, including NIRF 2024 rankings in 30th position among universities, 36th position in engineering, and 50th position overall.

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) has a strong placement record with over 1,650 placement offers and over 150 companies involved in campus drives. KARE's highest package is ₹50 LPA (Nutanix) and the average package is ₹4.5 LPA with evidence of consistent outcomes with students. KARE performed an average of over 250 internship offers giving students the ability to obtain industry exposure. The Office of Corporate Relations supports student placement by providing mock interviews, aptitude tests and professional grooming. • The International Research Center has a number of sophisticated laboratories focused on nanomaterials, composite materials, multifunction material, and advanced equipment (SEM, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, etc.).
