The Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT Tirupati) provides a diverse array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs spanning engineering, science, public policy, humanities, and social sciences.

IIT Tirupati's flagship program is the B.Tech course. Admission to the B.Tech program at IIT Tirupati requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) with a minimum of 75% marks. Candidates must also possess a national-level JEE Advanced score. Admission seats are allocated through the JoSSA counseling process. In 2023, the total undergraduate student count at IIT Tirupati was 844. For the academic year 2025, the tuition fee for the B.Tech program is INR 1,00,000 per semester for students with a family income exceeding INR 5 lakhs.

For GATE-Qualified Candidates

• GATE-qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from an AICTE/government-approved institution in a relevant discipline,
• Candidates must also have qualified in the GATE 2023, 2022, or 2021 exam in a relevant GATE paper
• Candidates who are yet to appear in or have appeared in the final exam for the qualifying degree and are likely to complete the requirements for the qualifying degree by July 2025 are also eligible

For IIT Graduates

B.Tech graduates from IITs who satisfy the following conditions can apply without a valid GATE score:

• Candidates graduating/ graduated from IITs with B.Tech. degree in a discipline that is relevant to the M.Tech programme they wish to apply. 
• Candidates must also have a CGPA of 8.0 (7.5 for SC/ST) and above in the B.Tech. degree.
