UPTET Cut off 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) is responsible for releasing the UPTET cut off. The cut off will be released on the official website - updeled.gov.in. Once the results are announced, the education body will release the cut off for the exam. The UPTET cut off refers to the minimum qualifying marks set by the authorities that a candidate needs to qualify for the exam. 

Candidates must note that the minimum qualifying marks are different for candidates belonging to different categories. The UPTET exam is a teaching eligibility test which determines whether the candidate is eligible to become a teacher. 

Candidates who successfully qualify the exam are eligible to get the UPTET certificate. However, candidates must note that the certificate does not guarantee a job. It only makes the candidate eligible to apply for the post of teacher in government schools in Uttar Pradesh. 

UPTET Cut Off 2024 

After the UPBEB will declare the results, the education body will also release the UPTET cut off 2024. The cut off will be released in the PDF format which candidates can check online. The UPTET cut-off will be based on several factors including the difficulty of the exam, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam and category of the candidate.

UPTET Selection Process 2024

There are a bunch of requirements that candidates are required to follow in order to get selected for the teaching eligibility test. Take a look below at the selection process for the UPTET 2024 : 

  • The UPTET papers have two parts - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is taken to check the eligibility of candidates who wish to teach in primary classes, whereas paper 2 determines the eligibility of those candidates who wish to become a teacher in upper primary classes. 
  • Candidates who fall in the general category need to score 60 per cent marks, whereas SC/ST/OBC candidates are required to score a minimum of 55 per cent to pass the teacher eligibility test. 
  • Candidates who will qualify in the exam will be eligible to get the UPTET certificate issued by the UPBEB. Earlier, the validity of the certificate was 5 years. However, the validity of the UPTET certificate has been changed as per the new guidelines of the NCTE. Now, the UPTET certificate is valid for a lifetime.
